Jude watched as Connor was lifted on a stretcher. Jude felt himself screaming for Connor but it felt like everything was going in slow motion.
"It's going to be okay love" Stef told Jude. "He's going to be alright."
Jude cried.
Months later, Jude jumped awake. He exits his room and makes it downstairs.
"Are you okay?" Lena asked Jude. "Are you still having those nightmares about the accident?"
"Yeah" Jude said. "They just came back out of nowhere."
Jude sits down.
"Maybe that it's summer they'll go away" Stef told Jude. "Try to enjoy this summer."
"I'll try" Jude smiled."I mean Alex is staying this summer. He wants it to be an amazing bestie summer."
"Good" Lena smiled. "How's things with him and Robert?"
"Well he likes living with him" Jude said. "I guess Alex finally found the family he needed."
Horn honked.
"That's Alex" Jude said. "I have to go. See you at school mama."
Jude walked out.
At school, Alex cleaned out his locker and Jude walked to him.
"I am officially done with all my classes" Jude told Alex. "This summer is going to rock!"
Alex smiled.
"Yeah it will" Alex agreed.
Connor joined them and kissed Jude passionately.
"I missed you" Connor told Jude.
"Me too" Jude smiled at Connor.
"I got me a summer job" Connor said. "It's helping my dad with his baseball team. I'll just be like his assistant. He won't let me play. But he's paying me for it."
"Why do you need a summer job?" Jude asked.
"So I can buy a new car" Connor said. "Remember mind got totalled?"
Alex looked at Jude. He could tell Jude didn't like the idea of Connor driving again.
"Okay" Jude said. "I have to get to class."
"Why does he keep doing that?" Connor asked. "Every time I feel a argument coming on he just walks away."
"I don't know" Alex replied. "That's for you to figure out."
At the beach, Alex sits with Stacy.
"So any cute boys you got your eye on?" Alex asked Stacy.
"There is this one guy" Stacy said. "But I'm pretty sure he's gay so it won't work out."
"I knew you had a crush on me" Alex joked.
"No" Stacy said. "Not you. I have feelings for Ethan. But the only person he's liked so far is you."
"Well he's not gay" Alex pointed out. "He's pansexual. You do know what that means right?"
Stacy spit her tongue out at him.
"Yes I do" Stacy said.
"I got an idea" Alex said. "We're going to get you and Ethan together."
"How?"
At Jude's, Jude makes out with Connor on the couch and Lena enters. They stop making out and Lena laughs.
