Jude laid down on the couch. Alex was holding Mason.
"You've known for days" Alex said."You'll have to start making plans and you have to tell Connor."
"If you don't want to help with Mason then give me my baby" Jude snapped.
"Jude!" Alex said. "This isn't about me. I enjoy helping you with the baby but your sick. And you have to tell Connor."
"I know" Jude cried. "But how am I supposed to look at him and say 'hey honey how was work oh and I have cancer. Were having spaghetti for supper.' How do I do it?"
"I don't know" Alex replied. "You'll figure it out. If you want I can keep Mason for the night so you can tell him."
Jude nodded.
"Thank you" Jude said. "Alex, I have another appointment today. She wants to talk about my choices. Will you come with me?"
"Of course I will" Alex promised. "I'm here for you."
Connor eats lunch with Ava and Taylor.
"I have no idea why he's being so secretive" Connor lied to Ava. "Peter doesn't tell me anything."
"Maybe he's cheating on you" Taylor suggested.
"Your so funny Taylor" Ava replied.
Taylor giggled.
"Sorry too far?" Taylor asked.
"I hope your wrong.." Ava said worried.
"He's not cheating on you" Connor told Ava. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
Alex sat in the waiting room with Jude and Mason.
"Jude Stevens!"
Jude kissed Mason and handed him to Alex.
"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?" Alex asked.
"I need to do this alone" Jude said. "Now Mason be good for Uncle Alex. OK?"
Mason smiled. Jude felt himself tear up. Jude then rushed into the room. Alex held Mason feeling saddened for Jude. A cute guy in a beanie sat down next to Alex.
"Cute baby" the guy said. "Is he yours?"
"Oh no" Alex said. "He belongs to my brother and his husband.."
"The guy who was just here?" The guy asked.
"Yeah that's Jude" Alex said. "He's sorta my brother."
"Sorta?"
"Don't ask. It's complicated" Alex replied. "He's just really sick.."
"Yeah" the guy said. "I know how that feels. I have cancer. I had it once before but it came back."
"I'm so sorry" Alex said. "That's horrible.."
"I'm hoping I make it again" the guy said. "By the way I'm Will Garrett."
"Alex Harper."
"Nice to meet you, Alex" Will smiled. "Tell Jude if he needs a cancer buddy I'm amazing."
Alex smiled.
"Thank you."
That night, Alex put some bottles into the baby bag.
"Don't forget his sock monkey" Jude said. "He loves that thing."
"I already have it in the bag, Jude" Alex said. He zipped up the bag. "Don't worry I know what I'm doing. I've watched you take care of Mason a million times. I got this. You just focus on telling Connor."
Jude nodded. Alex walked into the baby room. Connor entered.
"Hey" Connor smiled. "Where's Mason?"
Alex exited the baby room holding Mason. Connor stared at him.
"What's going on?" Connor asked.
"I offered to watch Mason tonight" Alex said. "So you and Jude could have some couple time."
"Thanks Alex that's nice of you" Connor said.
Connor kissed Mason goodbye. Jude then kissed Mason goodbye and hugged Alex. Connor noticed how emotional Jude and Alex both acted. Alex left with Mason.
"Jude what's going on?" Connor asked.
"I have cancer" Jude cried running off into the bathroom. Jude locked the door and broke down.
Connor stared at the bathroom door heartbroken. His Jude was sick? That couldn't be true. Connor broke down.
Alex laid Mason down. Alex heard his phone ring and he looked around for it before Mason woke up. He answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey this is Alex Harper right?" A voice asked.
"Yeah?" Alex sounded confused.
"This is Will Garrett" he responded. "The dude with cancer."
"Yeah I remember you" Alex said. "How'd you even get my number?"
"Your Mom" Will said. "She thought you were the one who had cancer and she showed up to the hospital worried. But I told her you didn't."
"Sorry my Mom can overreact sometimes" Alex laughed.
"Don't worry my Dad is the same way" Will said. "But I told her how attractive you were so she gave me your number. I was wondering would you like to go out sometime?"
Jude came out of the bathroom and Connor and him ran to each other and kissed.
"Why did this.."
"We have to call everyone" Jude said. "Starting with Daria and Taylor."
Daria and Taylor watch TV together laughing. The phone rung and Daria picked it up smiling. But Taylor then noticed Daria look upset.
"Oh. My. God."
"How long has he known?" Ava asked into the phone. "Oh my god. Connor I am so sorry."
"it can't be true" Leo cried into the phone. "Jude it has to be a mistake."
"it's not."
Tyler hung up the phone and broke down. Jude had to make it through this. He just had too.
