Jude walked down the hallway with Alex.
"So he is your Dad, right?" Jude asked.
"Yeah" Alex replied. "We got the results back this morning. And right after he called my Mom and invited us both over to dinner tonight."
"Are you going?" Jude asked.
"Yeah" Alex said. "Will you come?"
"Sorry" Jude told Alex. "But me and the girls have plans."
"Oh don't tell me it's another hang out I'm not invited to" Alex said eyeing Jude. "Thanks for telling me by the way."
"I just didn't want you to feel left out" Jude said.
"No you just didn't want me and Jake to bring down your romance, right?" Alex replied.
"Okay who told you?" Jude asked.
"Daria" Alex said. "At least one of my best friends can be honest with me."
"Sorry" Jude told Alex. "Look sometimes we just want a couples thing to do. I mean me and Connor enjoy your company. But lately you've been around too much. Like every time we go to the movies you tag alone or when I invite him over for a make out session your there watching some movie. I love you but you've been around too much."
"Hey it didn't stop you two from getting a stiff one now did it?" Alex pointed out.
"Look" Jude said. "Your my best friend and I know your lonely but that doesn't mean you can just intrude in my relationship."
"I'm not" Alex said.
"You comforted him over the pills he has to take" Jude said. "You broke into his locker to make sure he was okay."
"He's my friend" Alex said.
"I'm just saying ever since you lost the dance team you've been a bit annoying" Jude said. Alex looked hurt by the accusation. "Look I'm sorry if that hurt your feelings but I need you to intruding so much."
"Fine" Alex said. "I guess I'm such a horrible friends I'll just leave you alone."
"Alex don't be so dramatic" Jude tried but Alex rushed down the hallway. "ALEX!"
That night, Jude sat with Daria in the school library.
"Where is Taylor?" Jude asked. "She said she was on her way with a plan. If we don't figure this out then I will lose my dream of being a class president."
"She is on her way" Daria told Jude. "So will you please take a chill pill. Oh sorry that's Connor's job."
Jude gives her a look.
"Kidding" Daria smiled. "So anyway what is up with you and Alex?"
"What are you going on about?" Jude asked.
"You two haven't talked all day" Daria said. "And that's like not normal. You two always talk. What happened to besties for life?"
"We're in a fight at the moment" Jude said. "And he's overreacting about something."
"Well that's Alex for you" Daria said. "But you can't help but love him anyway. So what was the fight about?"
"Well the fight wouldn't of happened if you hadn't blabbed to him" Jude told Daria. "Why would you tell him about the double date? That was supposed to be between the four of us. But you told him."
"I had to brag" Daria said. "Sorry."
"Well" Jude said. "I was just letting it out how I'm tired of him being around me and Connor during are special moments. You know I may have called him annoying and lonely."
