Alex sat on the couch and Connor walked down the stairs with a bag full of his stuff. Alex jumped up.

"You can't go" Alex said.

"I thought you wanted me too" Connor said.

"You can't" Alex cried.

"Why?" Connor snapped.

"Because I know if you go out that door you'll never come back" Alex said.

Connor stared at Alex.

"I'm sorry, Alex" Connor said. "But I think I'm done with this marriage. With you. I just don't think I love you enough anymore."

Alex stared broken hearted at Connor. Connor walked towards the door.

"If you go" Alex warned. "I'll hate you forever."

Connor walked out. Alex picked up a picture and threw it at the now closed door before breaking down.

A week later, Daria walks with Stacy across the beach.

"I'm so glad summer is here" Stacy said. "I can't wait for tonight. The whole gang will be back together."

"Not all of us will be there" Daria said.

"How is Alex doing since Connor left?" Stacy asked.

"He just lays on the couch drinking all the time" Daria said. "And he won't talk about it much. He just pretends like it's okay and all he needs is to get a buzz. He needs to get help for his drinking."

Stacy nodded.

"This is all Connor and Jude's fault" Daria said.

"It's not their fault Alex has a problem" Stacy snapped.

"It's their fault it got worse" Daria snapped back.

At Jake's, Connor sleeps on the couch and Jake hits him and he jumps up.

"Morning idiot" Jake said.

Connor sits up and Jake sits down next to him.

"Why did you get in so late?" Jake asked.

"I was hanging with Jude last night" Connor replied.

Jake gave him a look.

"Wow you hung with the guy who destroyed your marriage" Jake snapped. "Way to go dude."

"It's not his fault" Connor said.

Jake rolled his eyes.

"Yeah right" Jake said. "If he hadn't of came back here you and Alex would still be together. Now your looking up divorce lawyers online."

Connor stared.

"You've been looking at my Internet history?" Connor asked.

"My computer" Jake said.

"Fine I'm looking for a divorce lawyer" Connor said.

"So that's it?" Jake asked. "Four years and it's over? Just like that? Don't you even care that you broke his heart?"

"Of course I care" Connor said. "But the marriage is over. Okay? I'm tired of trying to save it. I married the wrong guy. I should have married Jude."

"Wow" Jake said. "You treat Alex like he's nothing."

"I didn't mean it like that" Connor argued. "Look I'm still in love with Jude. What am I supposed to do? Stay married and pretend I don't feel this way?"
