"You're not feeling nervous at all, are you?" Irene asked with the softest voice as she looked at you and brushed her fingertips along your skin.

You couldn't deny that your heart was about to explode right from your chest but that wasn't because you felt nervous but rather because you felt excited.

You and Irene have been dating for a few months now but until tonight, you weren't quite ready to take that next step together.

But just a couple of nights ago, you told her that you were ready and she planned it all out to make it feel truly special for you both.

There were candles lit all across the room and soft, romantic music played from the speakers in her room.

Rose petals were all over the floor and everything felt romantic and also extremely comfortable.

You looked at your girlfriend, looking right into those beautiful brown eyes of hers that made you want to melt, and you knew by the look of love inside them that she just adored you.

"I'm not nervous at all." You said before putting your hand over hers. "I'm more than ready. I love you."

"I love you too."

She leaned in and you closed your eyes, waiting for her lips to brush against yours.

But she kissed your neck instead and a soft sigh left your mouth right away.

She heard her name follow that soft breath and she couldn't help but smile against your skin before looking up at you, still kissing your neck.

"Are you okay, baby?"

"Yes." You assured before wrapping your arms around her. "I just want you to kiss me."

She didn't hesitate for even a second and immediately moved to kiss you, her sweet lips finally meeting yours for a loving kiss.

But it quickly became passionate as the desire began to rush through your veins as well as hers.

You pulled away from the kiss and pushed her back just a little so you could pull off your clothes and she quickly did the same with hers before her hand gently touched your cheek as she pulled you in for another romantic kiss.

"Irene?"

"Yes, baby?" She softly spoke, her thumb brushing along your skin.

Because this was your first time, not only with Irene, but just in general, you didn't quite know what to do.

You were about to bring up your concerns about where you should put your hands on her body but as you eyed them and then her, she seemed to know exactly what you were thinking.

"You can put them anywhere."

She gently grabbed your hands in hers and set them on her sides.

"But how's this for now?"

You nodded and she watched a happy smile pull at your lips before she leaned in to kiss you again.

"I love you." She whispered as she pulled back, putting her forehead against yours.

And as you whispered the words back to her, things began to pick up between you.

You had never felt such bliss or desire in all your life and Irene couldn't seem to take her eyes off of you.

"Irene," You sighed once more, lost in the euphoric rush flooding over you.

"I know, baby." She whispered, letting herself be swept away by the bliss rushing over her as well.

You caught a glimpse of her when you opened your eyes for a second and, though you couldn't think about much at all in those moments of desire, you couldn't help but think about how much this moment meant to you; being able to share it with Irene, who you know is the love of your life, was a dream come true.

She made you feel safe despite how vulnerable you were in these moments.

She made you feel loved with each brush of her fingertips across your skin and anytime your eyes met, though there was passion inside of hers, there was also a look of love that words couldn't quite express.

But that was okay because you didn't need her to say them aloud; you could feel the love she has for you in each kiss and touch you shared and you made sure that she could feel the love you feel for her every second of every day too.

As the feelings intensified, she put her lips against your ear and comforted you while you trembled in her embrace.

"It's okay." She whispered softly. "You're okay. I've got you."

As you came down from the clouds together, she caught a glimpse of the tears in your eyes and she was quick to bring them up to you.

"Are you crying, baby girl?"

"Yeah. I'm just a little overwhelmed but in the best way, I promise."

You smiled at her and pecked her lips a couple of times before she lay down beside you.

"That was everything I had ever dreamt of. I'm so, so in love with you."

"Good, baby. I'm so, so in love with you too."

You shared a couple of sweet kisses before she pulled back to check on you.

"Are you feeling alright? Do you need anything? I can get you some water or a snack if you want."

"In a few, maybe. I don't want you to let me go right now." You said as you rolled into her arms and put your head on her chest. "I'm feeling amazing, baby. Thank you."

She giggled and shook her head.

"You don't need to thank me."

"Yeah, but I want to because I've been waiting and dreaming of that moment for a while and you made it even more special than I could've ever imagined. You lit candles and there are flower petals all over the floor - honestly, it feels like something from a fairytale. But better. I love you. Thank you for letting me be vulnerable and for making me feel so secure and so loved."

Neither of you told the other what you were thinking in that moment but you both had the same thought - you were the one for her and she was the one for you.

This was it.

You were going to be together forever, so madly and deeply in love that there was no way that you wouldn't be spending the rest of your lives together.

This romantic and dreamy experience only made you both feel more certain about that than ever.

"Anytime, my love, and thank you for trusting me and loving me so much that you let me physically express it to you."

You looked into each other's eyes in comfortable silence, fingers intertwined while your hearts beat steadily.

"Do you want to go take a shower?"

"Can we take a bath instead?" You asked.

"Sure." She grinned and then got up, taking your hand into hers as you headed to the bathroom, hoping she'd hold you close again.
