"I can't believe that it's our last night here." You said as you cuddled up to Irene. "I've had so much fun here the last few days."

"Me too. It's been nice getting to unwind and spend time together without worrying about anything. This vacation is exactly what we've both been needing."

Her lips brushed lovingly against your head before you lifted it from her shoulder so you could kiss her lips.

Every kiss with Irene since the very first one you shared almost three years ago has been amazing and breathtaking but there was something so special about the ones you've shared the last few days here on vacation.

They're even more perfect than usual and you find yourself tasting fruity drinks or the salt from the air on the beach.

When Irene surprised you just a few days ago by telling you to pack up because you were going on vacation together, it caught you off guard because it was out of nowhere.

But you ended up packing your things faster than ever before out of pure excitement.

You figured she'd take you somewhere like Paris or maybe even somewhere in South Korea still, just somewhere a decent distance away to make it a vacation.

Never would you have expected her to take you to the Maldives.

It was something you thought you'd only see on Pinterest or dream about going somewhere someday, maybe when you were old and grey.

But Irene wanted to make this vacation extremely special and romantic and the Maldives were perfect for that.

The beaches are so beautiful, the blue water is so warm, the time you've had to just be able to be present with Irene and be present at the moment together is incredibly special, and the resort you're staying at together is stunning.

Irene gently cupped your cheek to have you look at her again.

"What's on your mind?"

"Just how much I love it here and how this has been the most amazing vacation ever. I'll never forget these last few days for as long as I live and I'm so happy we were able to spend some time here together. It's been perfect. Thank you."

You kissed her shoulder a few times as you finished speaking.

"It has been amazing." She sighed contentedly. "But it's not over yet. There's still one thing to do."

"What do you have in mind?" You asked curiously.

Instead of replying right away, she took your hands into hers and brought them to her lips for a couple of sweet kisses.

"I have a confession to make." She said, biting her lip. "I've had this vacation all planned out for a few weeks now, it wasn't a spur-of-the-moment thing. I took a lot of time to plan it and make it perfect for you, for us."

Oh, that made you appreciate and love her even more.

"There was one thing I knew I had to do before we went back home and things got crazy all over again. Something about doing this here is just so romantic and I knew this was where it was meant to take place."

"What are you talking about?" You asked with a confused expression.

Irene just kissed the tip of your nose before taking a breath and reaching into the pocket of her shorts before pulling something out.

And you gasped as soon as you realized that it was an engagement ring.

As she got on one knee, tears filled your eyes.

You've dreamt of this moment but she made it even more beautiful than you could've ever imagined it could be.

"Baby," You sniffled and watched as her brown eyes began to water from the happiness in her heart.

"I wasn't about to head home without doing this. I've been wanting to ask you to marry me for a while but I wanted to do it in a place like this because it's just like you; so warm, so beautiful, and so comforting."

Your lower lip trembled, as did your hands as she took one into hers, her other one holding the ring.

"I love you more than anything in this world and all I want is to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to feel this way forever. I want to marry you."

She sniffled and watched you smile through your tears.

Before she could even finish asking you those four words, "Will you marry me", you interrupted by shouting out,

"Yes! Yes, I'll marry you! Oh, my gosh, a million times yes!" You excitedly rambled.

She laughed as she realized she only got two words out before you spoke up.

Getting up, she pulled you in for a passionate kiss before slipping the ring on your finger.

You threw your arms around her and held onto her tighter than ever, feeling your heart swell so much that you thought it might just burst.

"I love you so much." You tearfully spoke against her skin.

"I love you too."

She kissed your head and rubbed your back as you closed your eyes, the brightest of smiles tugging at your lips as it sank in that you were engaged.

You're going to marry the love of your life soon!

It was so exciting and such a dream come true and all you could do was hold her tighter and thank all of your lucky stars for whatever you'd done right in life to be able to be here in this moment with your soon-to-be wife.

And you couldn't wait to show off your ring to all the cameras and fans that would surely be waiting at the airport when you and Irene return to South Korea, almost as much as you were excited to share the news with the girls and your families.

This was one of the best days of your entire life and you couldn't wait to marry Irene, wanting nothing more than to spend every single day of your life falling even more in love with her.
