Tessa

“What took you so long?” Dan asks when I get back to the coffee shop after my conversation with Maryanne.

“I just got talking with a fan,” I reply, a huge smile on my face.            

“You’re leaving me for a fan?” George gasps, fake sobbing into his arms.

“No, silly!” I roll my eyes at him, “I would never leave you for anyone.” I smile around at Dan who is giving us ‘aw’ looks, and at Liv, who is staring down at her hot chocolate, a sad dazed look on her face. I mentally slap myself for being so stupid. We shouldn’t have talked about me leaving George for a fan, because that’s exactly what JJ did to Liv. He left her for Katy, a fan. I wonder if I should comfort Liv, but she looks up at me, almost as if she feels my gaze on her back, and gives me a big smile, a fake smile plastered all over her face. I sigh, but continue, “Anyway, it was this girl and she was really upset because her boyfriend thought that she only liked him for his money and then she ran out on the fate because she was so sad. So I helped her!”

Dan laughs, “Agony Aunt Tessa!”

I roll my eyes at him, “I helped her because she was upset, and I think she felt better about it anyway. I know that I feel like a better person because of it.”

George and Dan snort with laughter. I roll my eyes and glance at Liv again, who has gone back to staring at her hot chocolate, the same distant look in her eyes. I feel my heart sink in my chest. I thought that today went well. I thought we managed to cheer her up. Well we obviously didn’t, because she’s just like she was before.

Slowly, I sip my hot chocolate, trying hard not to cry. Will I ever get my best friend back to normal?

“TESSA WILLIAMS!” Dan yells, getting my attention. Unfortunately, mine is not the only attention that he earns himself.

“IT’S TESSA WILLIAMS!” A random girl screams.

“GEORGE SHELLEY!”

“DAN FERRARI-LANE!”

Instantly, we all know what to do. I grab Liv’s hand in one of mine, scooping up my bag in the other and run as fast as I can, hauling Liv along behind me. Where is Bob when you need him? There are masses of people running after us, but thankfully, we reach the car just in time, all of us piling in.

“Are you ok?” Bob asks, glancing at us from the front seat.

“Fans,” Dan replies, “We’re fine though.” Bob nods, smiling at us all and driving off back to the hotel. Sighing in relief, I look around the car. Dan is sat beside Liv, obviously worrying about her. George is sat beside me, staring intently at his phone. I wonder what is taking up all of his attention, but feel like I would be a clingy girlfriend if I ask to see, or just peer over his shoulder. It could be private.

“Here,” George whispers to me, “Read this.” He passes me the phone and I see that he’s on Sugarscape and is reading an article about the four of us.

X-Factor contestants Tessa Williams, George Shelley (Union J), Dan Ferrari-Lane (District Three) and an unknown blonde girl, who is rumoured to be Liv Taylor, best friend of Tessa Williams, where spotted out and about in London today. The four were seen entering London Aquarium and later exiting to go to Costa coffee across the road. They were then spotted by fans. What do you make of this?
