Tessa

As soon as I wake up I know what day it is. Someone’s going to leave the competition today. And no-one deserves too. I close my eyes and hope that I can sleep the day away so I’m not sitting around doing nothing, but my body won’t let me.

I get up and walk into the kitchen where everyone is sitting, either at the table or on the floor or a sofa, staring at something in miserable silence. We can’t be like this all day. Something has to change. Someone has to do something to make it better.

I grab a packet of jelly babies from the cupboard and open them up very quietly. Everybody’s too busy doing nothing to actually notice me. I look around. Hmm. I take a jelly baby out of the pack and chew it thoughtfully. Quietly, I pick one out of the bag and lift my arm up into the air. I’m aiming for…Lucy. I flick my wrist and throw it as hard as I can towards Lucy. It hits her forehead. She looks around. Quickly, I hide behind the sofa and she doesn’t see me. When she’s stopped looking around, and she’s eaten the jelly baby. I edge out again and throw another jelly baby. This is where my amazayn basketball skills come in. I hit Lucy’s cheek. Lucy looks around again, but I’m hidden before she sees me. I manage to do it one more time before she does see me. I put my finger to my lips and look around for a new victim. Greg West. I throw one. Lucy shifts a bit so she can see it. It skims Chris’s nose and hits Greg’s jaw. Chris seems oblivious. Greg’s reaction is hilarious. He ducks his head into his knees, making a small squealing sound. I throw one again and it hits the back of his head. He slides off the sofa I fright. Jaymi, sat next to Greg, seems to notice what I’m doing and grins. I chuck another one at Greg. He stretches out onto the carpet, face first. Everyone looks up, apart from Chris, Melanie and Jahmene. I wave and they all grin at me, all watching my next move. I chuck one even harder at Greg, and he jumps up and runs away. People start to laugh, but I stop them. Jahmene and Melanie are smiling at me as well, they’ve noticed, leaving only Chris. I chuck it as hard as I can at him and he jumps three feet into the air. We’re all in fits of laughter. Chris glares at me.

“Why don’t you go and play your stupid game somewhere else, where people will put up with your childishness,” He snaps, “I wouldn’t be surprised if you left tonight, considering your poor performance!” I stare at him an leave without a word.

Dan, Micky, Greg, Ella, JJ, Jaymi, George and I all make our way up to Tessa’s room to see if she’s ok. But instead of being upset, she’s laughing and jumping around on her bed.

“What are you doing?” Jaymi asks.

“Having fun!” Tessa squeals “If I’m going to leave, I’ll leave on a happy note!”

“You’re not leaving!” George and I tell her.

“That’s not what Chris thinks.” Tessa says, jumping off the bed.

“He was only like that because he was annoyed at your game.” Ella says.

“I thought that was hilarious.” I grin at Tessa.

“Your reaction Greg!” Tessa laughs.

“I didn’t know what it was!” Greg protests.

“Jelly babies.” We all reply. Greg turns red. Tessa laughs so hard. She’s got an adorable laugh.

I look around her room, at the walls covered in posters. There are pictures of Little Mix, pictures of One Direction, and pictures that have been printed from a camera. I walk closer, along with a few others, to get a better look. I’m glad I’m not the one.

“It’s all my best times,” Tessa tells us, “With my friends and family.” There are lots of pictures of Tessa and Liv, Tessa and Diana, Tessa and Brandon, Tessa and Ryan and lots of other people.
