“Are we allowed to go Trick or treating here?” I ask George and Jaymi absentmindedly.

“I don’t know,” George replies with a shrug, “Why?”

“Well,” I think for a minute, slightly embarrassed at what I’m about to say, “I actually haven’t been before...”

“You haven’t been before?” Jaymi screeches, “You have never lived!”

“Yeah,” I cross my arms over my chest defensively, “My Mum never wanted me to go, it’s not my fault.”

“Of course it isn’t.” George smiles, hugging me tightly, “We’ll take you.”

Josh laughs as he walks in, “We’ll take you tonight!”

“TONIGHT!” I scream at the top of my voice.

George grins at me, “We can do that instead of going to the party! I know that Liv won’t want to go because of what happened at your party, so you, me and Liv can go.”

“I’m coming too!” Jaymi and Josh say at the same time.

“Ok.” George nods, “We need to get costumes sorted.” I grin at him and he grins at me.

Jaymi thinks for a second, “What are we going to go as?”

“I WANT TO DRESS UP AS A CARROT!” I yell at the top of my voice, dancing around the kitchen.

“Seriously?” Jaymi rolls his eyes, a grin on his face.

“What’s wrong with a carrot?” I ask stopping and glaring at him.

“Nothing,” George assures me, “You can go as a carrot if you want to.” I grin at him and peck him lightly on his lips.

“Well it’s not exactly scary,” Jaymi explains, “Is it?”

“A Jelly baby?” I ask hopefully. Jaymi shoots me a weird look. “Fine,” I sigh, shaking my head at them, “I’ll go as a vampire.”

“That’s more like it!” Josh grins.

“TWILIGHT!” Jaymi squeals, running around the kitchen like a little fan girl. I roll my eyes. Don’t even get him started on Twilight.

“Ok then,” George sighs, “We’ll go as Twilight characters.” We all know that Jaymi will strop big time if we don’t agree with him.

“Tessa can go as Bella Swan!” Jaymi exclaims.

“Great,” George nods, “But you decided while we go to rehearsal, because we’re already late!” He starts to pull me out of the room, but I keep my feet firmly planted to the ground.

“There is no way that I am going as Bella Swan!” I yell, “For starters, she isn’t a vampire, and vampires are cool, but secondly, she just uses Jacob and that’s horrible!”

Jaymi rolls his eyes but nods, “Ok, fine, you can be someone else.” I grin and follow George out, slipping on some shoes and then wandering towards Bob’s car.

“I was serious,” George tells me when we sit down, “About yesterday. I meant that I want to take you out, just me and you.”

“I know,” I smile, “But I really don’t mind wherever we are, as long as you’re there, I don’t care.”

George grins at me and leans towards me.

“ALRIGHT!” Bob says loudly, making us jump apart in surprise, “Just to let you know, I do have a mirror, and I can see what’s going on in the back of my car.”
