Prologue
I was standing far out in the swirling gray fog of nothingness. Above me was darkness and beneath me the world. It was almost as looking through a window, but this one was soundproof and I could do nothing to change things. I was trapped in this state between life and death with no way out, praying for a miracle to come, wishing to be set free.
And I cannot remember how I got here; I cannot even remember my name. Pitiful isn’t it?
I am just there and drawn to see things that happen in places I never remember going to. Something pulls me there, for all I know it could be some strange way of fate fulfilling itself.
My little bubble was being pulled to who-knows-where. The fog around me lifted and I looked around, taking in the colors first and then the things.
I always liked to notice the colors first. They were always refreshing after floating around in that gray mist for a while.
I took a deep breath and looked around, now finally taking in what was there--and not just the blur of colors through squinted eyes.
