Meeting Him Outside Hot Topic #2

You run a hand through your hair as you shut your door. FINALLY its Friday night, no more work for two days! Thank FUCK! You would serioisly not survive if you had to continue working any longer. You love your job as a Hot Topic employee, but you also love sleep, so yeah. You quickly change into a purple Anthem Made vampire shirt, because its still spoopy season ok shut up. You flop onto your couch and plug your phone into its charger, thats another thing, your phone died around 12pm and its now 9:30pm. You smile down at it as your notifications start flying in. Kellin texted you! You and him have become really good friends since you met a few weeks ago, and you have serious feelings for him, but you dont want to say anything because technically he's still with his wife Katelynne.

Kellin: Can you come over? I really need your help. Xo

You: Sure, I'll be over in 5! :) xo

You jump up from the couch and bolt out of your house, grabbing your black hoodie on the way past. You practically leap onto your motorbike and pull your helmet on before starting the engine and speeding down the road. If Kellin needs you to go to his place, he really needs your help, and you wont decline a friend in need.

You pull up outside Kellins house and stuff your helmet into the small mini cupboard thing under your motorbike seat, you run to his front door. Its already slightly open, which worries you. You run inside and find Kellin sitting on his living room floor, crying into his knees with pieces of paper around him. The house is pretty much empty.
You run over to him and sit beside him, wrapping an arm around him "Kellin!?! Whats wrong!?!" He doesnt answer, he just cries harder. You pick up the pieces of paper around you and read them. One of them was the divorce papers, so Kellin and Katelynne are officially divorced now, surely thats a relief to him? Maybe he still has feelings for her. You pick up the next piece of paper and cant help but gasp.

" Kellin,

By the time you read this I, and all of my belongings, will be gone. The divorce papers came through, I've been waiting for them, and now they've arrived Im leaving. Of course, I've taken the children with me, which shouldnt bother you as you werent there to take care of them anyway. Goodbye,

You shake your head frantically "Nopenopenopenopenope-" you pick up Kellins phone "-nopenopenopenopenope-" you scroll through his contacts "-nopenopenopenopenopenopenope-" you dial Katelynnes number "-nopenopenopenopenope-Oh HI KATELYNNE! Yeah, look, I need to talk to you right now. I dont care what you're doing. I wont hurt you or your kids, dont worry, Im a friend of a friend, I need to talk some things over with you. Oh, you dont wanna meet up with me? Fine, then stay on the other end of the line and let me fucking speak! You cannot just simply walk out of Kellins life and take half of his life with you, thats unfair and complete bullshit! He fathered your sons like they were his own, he was the best father in the world to Copeland and you know that! He was there, you know he was, so dont try and bullshit me about him abandoning his daughter, he would never do that! Also, this isnt LEGAL! You cannot TAKE Copeland away from her father like this! Fucking listen to me bitch, I dont care HOW much money you have OR who you are, you cannot take a child away from their father when he is perfectly capable of looking after it, thats the LAW! Is Copeland there? I need to speak to her too. No, of course I wont swear infront of her, do you think Im fucking stupid! THAT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION!!! Thank you, pass me over please." You wait patiently. "Hey Copeland honey! Listen, do you wanna see your daddy? He's VERY upset and misses you a lot, do you miss him? Yeah, I knew it! You need to tell your mommy how much you miss and need your daddy so you can come see him! Do you wanna speak to him? Ok, I'll put you on speaker phone!" You put the phone on speaker and turn back to Kellin. "Hey, Kels, there's a little princess that wants to speak to you!" You smile at him.
Kellin sniffles "What? Who?"
"Its me Daddy! I miss you!" Copeland says through the phone.
Kellin gasps and grabs the phone "Copeland!?! Honey!?! Princess!?! Are you ok!?! Where are you!?!"
"Im fine, Mommy has just taken me to Grandmas! When can I come see you?" She asks sweetly.
Kellins eyes fill with tears "I-I dont know princess...your mommy says never..."
Copeland gasps "No! I wanna see Daddy! Mommy, let me see Daddy! Take my toys away from me, I just want to see him! I miss him Mommy!"
Kellin smiles as his chin wobbles at Copelands adorable arguing. "Fine, tell him he can come pick you up once he has a place to stay." You hear Katelynne say.
You squeal and punch the air "YESYESYESYESYESYESYEEESSSSS!!!"
Kellin smiles widely "Thank you so much Katelynne, you wont regret this! I'll call you back when Im ready to come get her!"
"Whatever." Katelynne replies groggily.
Copeland squeals "Yay! See you soon Daddy! Bye! I love you!"
Kellin smiles "Bye princess, I love you too!" Then he hangs up. You stop doing your victory dance and turn around to face him. Kellin puts his phone in his pocket and speed walks over to you before pulling you into his arms, burying his face in your hair. "Thank you so much (Y/N), you have no idea how much this means to me!"
You smile into his shoulder "You're welcome dude! Also, if you need a place to stay, you can move in with me if you wanted to?"
Kellin gasps "Can I!?! Really!?! Oh my god (Y/N)! Thank you!" He hugs you tighter.
You giggle "Of course you can! And dont sweat it man, I dont mind having my best friend moving in with me!"
"You're the greatest friend ever." Kellin says softly.
You blush against his shoulder "Thank you Kellin."

The next week Kellin was completely settled into your house and was in the process of getting Copeland back. He's fighting for custody in court right now, and you're sitting at home watching TV. You decide to start watching Orange Is The New Black, but as soon as Ruby Rose comes on and confuses your sexuality you just cannot continue. You absentmindedly ran your fingers along your sleeves and remembered that you hadnt cut in several weeks, since you'd met Kellin you stopped. He saw you hiss when he touched your wrist on the day you met, but he still hasnt questioned it. Does he care? Has he just forgotten? Do you mean as much to him as he does to you? The questions are stupid because you know the answers, you just dont want to say them. You turn off the TV and stumble into your bedroom, collapsing onto your bed. Kellin wont be back for several hours, so you must as well sleep.

You woke up to someone stroking your cheek. You open your eyes and see Kellin sitting on the bed beside you, looking very smart, with a hand on your cheek.
You smile at him "Hey Kels, how'd it go?"
He smiles down at you "Amazing actually, I won 50% custody!"
You gasp and sit up to hug him tightly "Oh my god! Well done Kellin! Im so proud of you!"
Kellin laughs slightly "I had other things I wanted to talk to you about..."
You pull away from him and raise an eyebrow "What are those things?"
Kellin takes a deep breath "You've helped me so much in the short time I've known you, and Im incredibly grateful for that, but...something has been bothering me recently. The day we met, I grabbed your arm to stop you leaving, the way you reacted...it was like you were hurt or something. I cant stop thinking about that moment. (Y/N)...Im not stupid, so please can you just tell me what drove you to do such a thing to yourself?"
You gulp "U-Umm...wow, what a question. Uh. Well. I guess I just dont really...fit, I dont fit. A lot of the time I feel like the world would be better off without me. Its stupid, I know."
Kellin shakes his head and pulls you into his lap, he kisses your forehead "Its not stupid, not at all (Y/N). You never have to feel like that again. Im here for you now, and I always will be. I'll always remind you how important you are to me, how beautiful you are and how honored I am to call such an amazing girl my best friend."
Your eyes fill with tears "Kellin, thats the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me! Thank you so much!"
Kellin winks at you. "You're welcome, beautiful. And dont worry, I will help you get through this, you can win this fight (Y/N), I promise."
You lean up and kiss him, because in that moment it just felt right. He was obviously surprised at first, but he quickly kissed you back, and thats when your life got back on track.
