He Tries To Get You Back

You're curled up in bed, half asleep. You dont know what the time is. You're facing your window. Its been 4 months since your break up with Kellin, well really it was his break up with you, but whatever. You're getting better. Sure, you're still depressed, but that cant be helped. The man you loved with everything you had told you he didnt love you anymore and walked away, of course you're going to be depressed! However, you dont cry yourself to sleep as often now. You havent smiled in 4 months, but thats no surprise either. You shouldnt think about all this while you're trying to sleep, but fuck it.

As you were falling into a deep sleep while contemplating the meaning of existence, there's a tap on your window. Probably just a bird, or the wind. Then another tap, your eyes open slowly. There's another tap. Is someone...no...is someone throwing stones at your window!?! You slide out of bed and turn on your light, squinting for a few seconds before getting used to it. You run a hand through your hair and make your way over to your window. You pull the curtains open and your jaw drops.

Sitting in your front yard are none other than Nick Martin (guitarist of sws) and Kellin Quinn. Nick is sitting on a stool, and there is an empty one beside him. Kellin is scrambling around looking for new stones to throw. Nick spots you and smiles widely at you, tipping his hat, you smile down at him, its been 4 months since you've seen him and he was one of your best friends. He taps Kellins shoulder and Kellin turns to look at him, Nick points up at your window, Kellin looks up and spots you, his jaw drops. You smile weakly at him. He sits on his stool. You open your window.
"What are you doing throwing stones at my window at this time of night!? Some people actually need beauty sleep dammit!" You call down at them.
Kellin and Nick both laugh, Kellin speaks up. "We came to talk to you. I hope you realize how much convincing I had to do to get Nick to come along, he was...stubborn, to say the least."
Nick takes off his hat and starts slapping Kellin with it "Yeah, because you broke her heart you stupid mother fucker! Nobody breaks (Y/N)'s heart and gets away with it!"
You smile down at the pair. You quickly run out of your bedroom, down the stairs and out of your front door. You grab Nicks hat and flip it onto your head.
"Nick, your hat should not be used to abuse my ex-" You start, Kellin cringes as though you punched him. "-so I am taking it from you so you can abuse him no longer!"
Nick stands up and opens his arms "BRING IT IN, C'MON!!!" He shouts.
You giggle and run into his arms. You pull away "Right, anyway, I shall go back to my previous position up in my window and let you noobs say whatever you wanna say!" You turn and catch a glimpse of Kellin, he looks REALLY jealous! Why? He broke up with YOU!?! You shake your head and run back upstairs into your bedroom, Nicks hat still on your head. You stand at your open window and smile "Continue!"
They both laugh before turning serious. Kellin looks up at you with big eyes "(Y/N)...I came here tonight to sing to you, Nick came to accompany me and play the guitar, because I regret that night with every fibre of my being. You know the night Im talking about." You nod, he continues. "So Im here to apologize for that. Nick, start strummin'!"
And as Nick plays the first few chords of the song, your hand flies to your mouth, tears fill your eyes, and you shake your head. He's going to sing Iris. And Nick's somehow worked out how to play that on guitar.

You just wanna run down there and pull him into your arms, tell him you've forgiven him and that he doesnt have to feel guilty anymore.

I just want you to know who I am." Kellin breaks down on the stool, Nick wraps an arm around him, hoping to comfort him. You bolt down the stairs and back out your door towards him. You pull him into a standing position and wrap your arms around his middle, snuggling into his shirt. God, you've missed the feeling of his arms around you, how safe you always felt when you were with him. And in that moment, you realize just how much you've missed this man.
"Its alright Kellin, shhh. I forgive you. You dont have to feel guilty about anything anymore. I-I can...I-I can let you go now..." You struggle to say the words, knowing they arent true, but he doesnt love you anymore, he told you that, and you just want to make him feel better.
Kellin shakes his head "Its not alright! I felt guilty for breaking your heart, for leaving you, of course I did, but thats not why I sang to you! I sang to you because I've missed you so much, and I know you've completely moved on from me now, and it hurts! When you called me your ex earlier...it felt like getting punched in the face! You dont need me anymore, but I need you more than anything!" He cries.
You gasp. He wants you back!?! "K-Kellin, y-you said you didnt love me anymore! I thought you moved on from me and felt guilty! Thats why I said I can let you go now, I actually cant, I just wanted to make you feel better! I've missed you so much too, I havent moved on, and believe me I know it hurts! I saw you cringe when I called you my ex, and I instantly regretted saying it! I still need you, I'll always need you, more than anything Kellin!"
His arms tighten around you "S-So will you take me back?"
You look up at him, tears are still falling from his eyes and you see he has dark circles under them, his hair is messed up and he looks torn. The sight brings tears to your eyes. This is because of you. Because he missed you. "Of course I will Kellin!"
He smiles as his chin begins to wobble, and he's sobbing again "You have no idea how much I've missed you (Y/N)."
You smile into his shirt "Actually, pretty sure I do, considering I've missed you just as much, if not more!"
Kellin lifts your chin with his finger to look into your eyes, he brushes a strand of hair behind your ear and cups your cheek. You hold his hand there and nuzzle into it. "I-I love you..." He whispers, closing his eyes and biting his lip because he's scared of what your reply will be.
You giggle and lean up to kiss him "I love you more..."
Kellins eyes fly open and the smile on his face makes your heart flutter "I love you most!" He whispers before smashing his lips to yours, clutching your body like you'll disappear from his grasp at any second. You continue to kiss, locking your fingers in his hair. Nick is still sitting on his stool, trying his best to not acknowledge the fact that his friends are making out a few feet away from him, playing on his phone. But this doesnt break your kiss. You've missed Kellin so much, and he's finally back again. The whole in your heart heals over, the depression fades away and a smile is plastered on your face. All because the man of your dreams, and your reality too, is back again.
