You're Bestfriends

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!?!?!" You scream down the phone.
"I DONT DATE UGLY GIRLS, I'VE FOUND SOMEONE BETTER!!!" Mike, your now EX-boyfriend shouts back at you.
"FINE, HAVE FUN FUCKING YOUR NEW SLUT YOU MANWHORE!!!" You scream back at him before slamming the phone down. Tears stream down your face. You always knew he was a douchebag but you fell for him anyway. You dont have feelings for him anymore, after what he said, but you feel like shit for what he said to you. You decide to text your best friend Kellin.

Me: Hey Kels, looks like Im single 😭

Within about 30 seconds you get a reply.

Kellin: WHAT!?! That fucking asshole! Im coming over! 😡

Me: Thanks Kels, I really need someone right now. 😭

Kellin: Im on my way (Y/N), dont worry 😉

You smile down at your phone. You've always had feelings for Kellin. He knows you better than anyone and you know him in the same way. You've always hid your feelings from him because you know he's too good for you. You've tried to eliminate your feelings for him but nothing works. Within 2 minutes your front door opens, you gave Kellin a spare key because he comes to see you so often. He runs into the living room to see you hugging yourself in a tight ball on the floor.
He gasps "(Y/N) Oh my fucking god what did he say!?!"
He helps you to the couch and you curl into a ball again. "H-He said he doesnt date u-ugly girls and he found someone b-better." You sob.
Kellin pulls you into his arms "That fucking asshole! I could kill him for saying that bullshit to you! What did you say in reply to that?"
You sniffle "I told him to have fun fucking his new slut, then I called him a manwhore and hung up."
Kellin laughs "You're such a badass!"
You nuzzle into his shirt "I've missed you Kels."
He wraps his arms tighter around you "I've missed you too (Y/N)."
"Im sorry I didnt come and see you as often as I used to while I was dating Mike, I didnt want to upset him. Im so sorry Kellin!" You burst into tears again.
Kellin rubs circles in your back "Heey its alright, I understand. You know what I think? I think you should stop putting everyone else before you. Everytime somebody else wants something you drop anything and everything you're doing to help them, its insane how selfless you are. I also think Mike is a completely blind asshole. He called YOU ugly! YOU! You're fucking beautiful! He's blind as fuck, clearly!"
You smile slightly "Kellin...you just called me beautiful..."
He chuckles "I know!"
You giggle "Thanks Kels, that means a lot coming from you."
"You're welcome! Did you wanna watch some movies with ice cream to help with the heartbreak?" He asks softly.
You nod "Yeah, that sounds fun." Kellin gets up and walks towards the door "Where are you going Kels!?!" You ask, tearing up again.
"Im leaving you to watch your movies and eat your ice cream..." Kellin says.
You shake your head as fresh tears flow from your eyes "Please dont leave Kellin, stay. I dont want you to leave me as well!"
He runs back over to you and wraps his arms around you "Hey, hey, hey, Im not leaving. I'll stay if you want me to."
You wrap your arms around him "Thanks Kels, I'll get the ice cream you chose some movies?"
Kellin nods "Ok!" And he pulls away from you, walking to your movie shelves. You stand up and stumble to the kitchen, grabbing 2 tubs of Ben and Jerries chocolate brownie ice cream. You pull a blanket onto the couch and sit under it, snuggling into the warm fabric. Kellin puts a DVD into the DVD player without telling you what it is. He turns around to face you and smiles at you.
"Awww! You look so cute!" He coos.
You giggle and lift the blanket up "There's room for a little one." You wink at him.
He chuckles and slides in beside you. When the movie starts playing you sneakily reach behind you and pull Kellins arms around your waist. He moves himself closer to you and wraps his arms around you, you snuggle closer to him.

He hasnt said anything or made any other contact with you throughout the whole movie. You thought maybe he liked you in the same way but of course, you were wrong. Of course he couldnt love you. You love having him as your best friend but you wish he was something more. You shouldnt have forced him to wrap his arms around me like that. You push his arms back to where they were, at his sides.
"Are you ok?" He asks quietly.
You nod "I didnt want to make you uncomfortable, Im sorry..."
He wraps his arms around you again "You didnt, Im actually really comfortable." He kisses your cheek lightly from behind.
"Kellin-" you start but he cuts you off.
"I know we've been best friends for almost forever and you've only just got out of a relationship but...I really really like you (Y/N). I've been wanting to make you mine for years now but I've been scared to tell you how I really feel about you. When you wrapped my arms around you it felt so...right. I know its a lot to process and Im sorry for forcing all of this onto you but I had to get it off my chest. I know you dont feel the same and I understand." He explains.
You roll over to face him and your jaw drops "Y-You love me!?!"
Kellin blushes and nods "Yeah...Im sorry..."
You shake your head "Dont apologise! I feel exactly the same way Kellin! I was scared to tell you because I thought you'd never feel the same! I love you too Kellin and I always have!"
Kellim gasps "Really!?!"
You nod and bite your lip "Really really."
He wastes no time in smashing his lips to yours, setting fireworks off inside both of you. This was the start of something beautiful, you knew it.
