Friends With Gabe's Girlfriend

You're hangin at Gabe and Sophias place. As in Gabe Barham, Sleeping With Sirens drummer, and his girlfriends place. She's super cool to hang out with, she's really funny and just generally awesome. The guys are all out right now, probably stealing shit like the apparent "satanists" that they are. If you didnt sense my sarcasm then get out. Please, just leave. Anyway, you've only really met Gabe, because you're generally friends with Sophia, not the guys. Sure, Gabe's a pretty cool guy, he's like a brotherly figure. You're into Sleeping With Sirens as a band, their music is fucking awesome, it has to be said. You're not overly obsessed though, you dont generally obsess over bands like that. Well, not on the outside. On the inside you're hyperventilating, but thats not the point and nobody knows that. On the outside you're really quiet and shy, kinda antisocial too. But Sophia got you out of your shell, which if why you're best friends.

You were just giving Sophia your opinion on some clothes she was considering buying, when five guys come literally stumbling through the front door. Gabe jumps up off the floor, which is where he landed because all of them tried to squeeze in at once, and runs over to Sophia to pull her into a heated kiss. You though it was cute, but the guys were all shouting "EEEEW GET A ROOM!!!" In a joking way, of course. You recognize the guys as the members of Sleeping With Sirens that you havent met yet. You make eye contact with the lead singer, Kellin Quinn, for a few seconds. You smile shyly and brush a strand of hair behind your ears before turning away, you're so fucking shy! You lean against the counter, eventually Gabe and Sophia stop kissing.
Sophia smiles at the guys "Hey noobs! So, this is my best friend (Y/N), she's extremely shy and stuff so yeah, be nice!"
The guys all laugh and nod, waving at you. You wave shyly back. Gabe wraps an arm around your shoulders. "Dont worry (Y/N), these are nice guys!"
You smile slightly "Im not worried, I just dont know how to socialize."
The guys laugh and Gabe smiles down at you "Well you're naturally funny, so it shouldnt be a problem!"
You roll your eyes "Hey, Soph?"
Sophia smiles at you "Yeah?"
"You got any Mountain Dew?" You ask curiously.
She shrugs "I dont know, go check, help yourself to whatever!" She winks.
You nod and run out to the outhouse, where the freezer is. You dig through it and find no Mountain Dew, not a single can or bottle. You sigh and make your way back inside, heading for the front door.
"(Y/N)? Where are you going?" Sophia asks.
You smile "Gonna go grab some Mountain Dew from the store on the corner, I'll be back soon, dont miss me too much!" You wink at her and stick your tongues out at eachother before leaving the house.

You end up walking about a minute down the street before you hear men hollering your name. "(Y/N), WAIT UP!!!" Jack shouts, running after you. He's shortly followed by Justin and Kellin.
You raise an eyebrow "You guys want some Mountain Dew or something?"
Justin shakes his head "No, we wanted to get to know you a little better!"
You laugh "There's not much to me really, Im an open book! Shy, antisocial, quiet, thats basically it!"
Kellin shakes his head as he walks beside you, Jack and Justin walk behind you. "No, you're funny too!"
Jack suddenly jumps forward and kisses your cheek "And you're beautiful!" He runs down the street before you can question, correct or slap him.
Kellin shakes his head as Justin runs ahead to catch up with Jack. "Damn, he beat me to it!"
You giggle "Clearly both of you need your eyes tested then!"
Kellin laughs "No, you're beautiful! So, tell me about yourself."
"What do you wanna know?" You ask.
"Everything, your whole story." He smiles.
"My story? Still being written." You reply.
Kellin laughs "So...its a mystery?"
You shrug "Guess so, either that or I refuse to tell a stranger my life story so far." You wink at him.
Kellin nods "I guess thats fair enough. Sorry about there being no Mountain Dew at Gabes place, thats my fault, I drink it whenever Im there."
You laugh and nod "Same here!"
"So, how long have you and Sophia been friends?" He asks.
"A couple years I think, it seems like forever. She managed to bump into me at a party I never wanted to go to, she also got me out of my shell somehow, which is why Im not shy around her like I am with everyone else." You answer, smiling at the memory of the night you met.
Kellin nods "How did she do it? Get you out of your shell I mean?"
You're thoughtful for a moment "I think she was just genuinely nice to me, which caught me off guard, not many people have been nice to me in a very long time so I didnt know how to react, I just opened up to her."
Kellin smiles "So in order for you to open up to me I just have to be genuinely nice to you?"
You raise an eyebrow "Sure, if thats what you want. Though you're being pretty nice to me now, staying with me rather than running off with your friends. Why would you want me to open up to you? Im nothing special."
Kellin shakes his head "I think there's a lot more to you than you give yourself credit for."
You smile "Thanks man!" You both arrive at the store.
Kellin holds his arm out and winks at you "Ladies first!" He signals to the open door.
You giggle "Thank you!" You stroll inside the store, heading straight for the refrigerated section where all the cans of energy drink are kept. You can hear Jack and Justin teasing Kellin in the aisle next to yours.
"You so like her!"
"No I dont!"
"Dont lie Kellin, we can see it!"
"Is it that obvious!?!"
"YES!!!"
"Goddammit, do you think she's noticed?"
"I dont know man."
"I dont think so dude, she's only really got Sophia as her friend from what Gabe told me, she's only ever opened up to her, so she probably wouldnt notice unless you actually kiss her or some shit!"
"Why doesnt she have any other friends though? She's so nice!?!"
"She has trust issues apparently."
"Do you know WHY she has trust issues?"
"Something to do with an ex boyfriend she had or something I think!?!"
You run out of the store as tears fill your eyes. The guys are shouting your name behind you, but you keep running. Eventually you reach the park. You curl up on the floor under the shade of a tree and start crying hysterically, remembering your past with...with him. He abused you constantly, told you that you were worthless, ugly and unloved. Only Sophia knows about him. He's the reason you dont have any other friends, he's the reason you're so shy, he's the reason for your trust issues. You hear a car pull up and start crying silently, not wanting to be found.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS DO!?!?!" Sophia shouts.
"We were just talking in a different aisle!" Jack says.
"WHAT WERE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?!?!" Sophia asks loudly.
"They were telling me about her trust issues and stuff, we were in a different aisle though, she couldnt have hear us!" Kellin replies.
"YOU IDIOTS!!! SHE WAS BUYING MOUNTAIN DEW MEANING SHE WAS IN THE REFRIGERATED AISLE, WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU GUYS!?!?!" Sophia shrieks.
"We were in the aisle...next to that..." Justin says in a small voice.
Sophia sighs loudly "YOU FUCKING IDIOTS DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE!?!?! SHE WAS TRYING SO HARD TO FORGET ABOUT THAT ASSHOLE, TO MOVE ON FROM HIM, AND YOU GUYS JUST REMINDED HER ABOUT HIM!!!" She runs into the park "(Y/N)? (Y/N) honey are you in here?" She calls in a soft voice.
You sniffle "O-Over here." Seconds later Sophia is next to you, pulling you up into a standing position so she can hug you. You cry into her sweater, she rubs circles in your back while walking you to the car. The rest of the guys gasp.

You arrive back at Sophia and Gabes quicker than you thought you would and you soon find yourself on Sophias couch, everyone else being completely silent.
Sophia sighs "Right, guys come help me cook up some supper, let (Y/N) have some alone time, ok?" The guys all nod and get up, all except Kellin.
"(Y/N)?" He stutters quietly.
You look up at him "Mhmm?"
"Im so sorry, I shouldnt have asked the guys about your past, I should've waited for you to tell me yourself, Im so sorry, I didnt mean to awaken old memories and make you cry!" He explains.
You hold up a hand "Dont worry about it, its not something I can forget or run away from anyway. I guess you wanna know what happened between me and him huh?" Kellin nods, still looking guilty. You tell him everything. And you mean everything. Everything HE ever said to you. Everything HE ever did. By the end you're sobbing again, with Kellins arms around you.
"Oh my god (Y/N)! Im sorry, I had no idea! Im so sorry you had to go through that! That fucking asshole! I cant believe someone would do that to you!" He says as he holds you close, you continue to cry into his shirt. "Listen (Y/N), you are loved, people do care about you and you are beautiful. The most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Dont listen to assholes like him, they dont deserve to breathe the same air as you. I know it hurts, but that will pass. I know you're broken, but you can be fixed. Im going to help you (Y/N). I will never hurt you like he did and I wont ever leave you, unless you want me to. You wont be alone anymore, you wont have to suffer in silence. Im here for you, and I always will be. So, chin up beautiful, we can get through this!"
You lean up and kiss his cheek "Thank you so much Kellin, thats the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, thank you. I trust you, and Im opening up to you."
Kellin kisses your forehead "You just made me the happiest man alive, and you're welcome."
