"Hey, Aaliyah?" Kellin asks over the phone.
You're currently holding the phone between your shoulder and your ear, trying to open your door at the same time. "Yeah Kellin?"
"Do you wanna come hang with me at the park?" He asks.
You smile and drop the keys to your front door "Well, seeing as I just dropped the keys to my front door, yes, yes I do!"
Kellins smile can practically be heard "Awesome!"
You sigh "Go on, make the reference." You pick up your keys.
Kellin laughs "I dont know what you're talking about!"
You roll your eyes "Yes you do, go on, do it!"
Kellin laughs again "Fine! Because if you cant hang, there's the door baby!"
You shake your head and smile "Y'know its really uncool to make references to your own songs right?"
Kellin scoffs "How dare you, Im the king of cool!"
You laugh "Uh huh, right!" You open the gate to the park and step inside. "Dude where the frick frack paddy whack are you?"
Kellin jumps out from a tree and hangs up "HERE!!!"
You jump with shock and punch him playfully "JESUS KELLIN!!!"
He laughs and takes your hand, sitting you down next to him on a bench. "So...Aaliyah..."
You raise an eyebrow "Yeeeaah?"
Kellin smiles and plays with your fingers "We've been best friends for a long time..." You smile widely, is he finally going to ask you out!?! "I was just wondering if you'd...show me your scars?" He asks quietly.
Shit. Guess not. Your jaw drops and you shake your head "Wh-Why!?!"
"Because I want to see all the times I wasnt there for you when I should've been." He replies.
You shake your head "No Kellin, I wont let you blame yourself."
Kellin sighs "Please Ali, just show me!" He gives you the puppy dog eyes and pouts.
You roll your eyes "Fine!" You lift the sleeves of your sweater, revealing your scars to him for the first time. Kellin gasps and bites his lip, closing his eyes in a pained blink. He traces your scars gently with his finger.
"Ali...these...these look recent...how long has it been...?" He whispers.
You gulp "A-A day..."
Kellin shakes his head "Im so sorry Ali! I should've been there for you!"
You hold his hand "No Kels, its not your fault, I chose to do it myself, its my choice. Its an addiction. I'll look for help, if it'll make you happy."
Kellin nods "Thank you, I cant stand seeing you hurt Ali."
You smile and nod "Anything for you."
Kellin laughs "You...earlier, you looked surprised when I asked to see your scars, were you expecting me to ask something else?"
You blush a violent shade of red "I wasnt expecting, I was hoping."
Kellin laughs "What did you want me to ask?"
You giggle "Thats for me to know and you to find out!"
He shakes his head and smiles "Actually, I do have one other question for you."
You roll your eyes "You're not seeing my underwear Kellin."
He bursts out laughing "I WASNT GOING TO ASK THAT!!!"
You punch him playfully "I know, dont worry! So, what did you wanna ask?"
He turns to you and smiles widely "Be my girlfriend?"
You facepalm "So you make a huge deal and get me all nervous about what you're going to ask, them you ask to see my damn scars. Then you get all happy and you're just like 'Be my girlfriend?' Dude, most guys get nervous over asking a girl out!"
Kellin laughs "Well Im not most guys!"
You nod "Oh god, I know that!"
Kellin smiles widely "So, will you be my girlfriend?"
You were raise an eyebrow "You were serious?"
Kellin looks away "U-Unless you dont wanna be my girlfriend...I-I umm...I get it if you-"
You kiss his cheek, cutting him off. "Yes, I'd love to be your girlfriend Kellin. I'll have you know thats what I was hoping you'd ask me earlier!"
Kellin blushes and smiles adorably "Really?"
You giggle and nod "Really really!"
He wastes no time in smashing his lips to yours, the first kiss you shared, and definitely not the last!
