Music And The Unexpected

You give Kellin, your boyfriend, a soft kiss before plugging your earphones in and enjoying your music. You've done this every night since before you can remember, music has always been your escape and listening to it before you go to sleep calms you down. Consequently this means you don't really speak to Kellin before you go to sleep but you're pretty sure he doesn't mind, he's never brought it up before. You're a huge rock fan but you like some pop and Dubstep. The music on your phone varies from The Bloody Five to Skrillex to Tiësto and you love the variety you've got. Just as the song Greed draws to a close, you feel a tap on your shoulder, making you jump. You turn onto your side and take your earphones out before giving Kellin your full attention.
You smile sweetly at him "You alright Kels?"
He smiles and nods "I just wondered why you never talk to me before you go to sleep, did I do something wrong??" He asks quietly.
You shake your head "Its because I'm always listening to music. I've done it all my life, music calms me down. Sorry Kels, you haven't done anything wrong, I should've explained."
Kellin nods in understanding "Is there a way that you can include me in your music bubble?"
You giggle and nod "We can share my earphones if you want?"
Kellin smiles widely and nods excitedly "Yeah!"
You grab one of your earphones and give it to him, he quickly puts it in his ear. You both turn over so you're lieing flat on your backs. You click the shuffle button and the first song to play is Red Lights - Tiësto, by far your favourite song by him.
You squeal quietly "I love this song!"
Kellin holds your hand in his in the space between you. He gently traces the side of your hand with his thumb. "Its a very cute song baby."
You smile and enjoy the song with your boyfriend.

The next song to play is Mmmbop by Hanson. Kellins eyebrows raise and he turns to look at you "Really?"
You blush "I may or may not have had a crush on the lead singer..."
Kellin laughs "Seriously?"
You nod sheepishly "My first ever crush, he shaped my preferences for men."
Kellin raises an eyebrow "But I'm nothing like him!?!"
You giggle "Long hair, god-like face, angelic singing voice, are you not seeing the similarities?" You shake your head "But that was only physically preferences, as I never met the lead singer I never knew if he was a douchebag or not. Your personality is the most perfect personality I've ever known. Everything about you is perfect and I don't know how but I absolutely love it. I love you."
Kellin smiles proudly "Thanks baby, I love you too. You're the most perfect human in the universe, nobody can compare to you."
You giggle "I'm not human Mr Quinn, I'm a SlothiCorn."
Kellin raises an eyebrow "What's a SlothiCorn?"
You facepalm "Me! A sloth with a unicorn horn Mr Quinn, I'm a sloth with a unicorn horn."
Kellin bursts out laughing "Of course, how could I forget?"
You shrug "Beats me, I never forget that you aren't human, you're an angel on Earth."
Kellin squeezes your hand "Thanks baby!"

The next song to come on is Heaven Again, by none other than the man lieing in bed beside you.
"You actually bought this song!?!" Kellin asks in shock.
You giggle and nod "Of course! I was a fan before you got into SWS, back when you did Christian rock! Even though I'm not a Christian I loved your music from the beginning."
Kellin shakes his head "You really are a fangirl aren't you?"
You gasp in mock outrage "How could you ever doubt my fangirl-ness!?!"
Kellin laughs "I have no idea!"

After that A Thousand Years starts playing. You have to catch your breath "This is probably the greatest love song ever written."
Kellin laughs "Better than all the songs I wrote!?!"
You giggle "Sorry Kels, listening to the lyrics, its brilliant!"
Kellin nods and listens closely, you turn over to face him and he turns over to face you. You start to mime the lyrics at him and he smiles widely. When it gets to the male part Kellin mimes all the lyrics, your jaw drops, you had no idea he'd even heard this song before let alone learnt the lyrics! Then tears fill your eyes as you remember the exact lyrics he's singing to you.

The tears fall from your eyes and you don't even try to stop them. Kellin smiles adorably and pulls you into his arms. You bury your face in his chest and wrap your arms around his middle, pulling him closer. He kisses your hair. "You have no idea how much it means to me when you do stuff like that, mime those sorts of lyrics at me." You whisper, sniffling.
"You mean the world to me (Y/N) and I love you with all my heart. I've been waiting forever to find you and now I have I'm never letting you go. You're the most perfect woman in the world. I've loved you since the day we met and I'll love you for the rest of forever, if you'll let me." Kellin replies quietly.
Your heart skips a beat "K-Kellin what are you saying?"
He slips out of bed and pulls you into a standing position before getting down on one knee. "I promise to love you for the rest of forever, I'm saying will you do me the extraordinary honour of becoming my wife?"
You clamp a hand over your mouth as more tears fall. You nod frantically "Yes Kellin, of course I will!" You whisper.
Kellin smiles widely and slides the beautiful ring in place before pulling you into his arms.
