*****NOT EDITED*****
Roman helped Zayra out of the car, she had fell asleep on him on the ride to Don Xavier's house. He listened to her breathing, it matched his heartbeat. Slow and steady.
He inhaled her scent. He couldn't wait to have all of her, everyday not just temporarily. He had to control himself. His desire for her had only grown in her absence. He couldn't help himself when she was around him he only wanted to feel.
He grabbed all of her luggage, refusing the staff to help with it. He wanted to take it upstairs for her. He had done so for so many years now that it had become his thing.
He watched her greet the staff in her friendly manner. She always had showed love for them and they too showed it back. They had always looked out for her, doing extra things to go out of their way for her, showing her love.
And now that she was the only one that remained from her family, they were even sweeter to her. Zayra saw Don Xavier walk toward her, his smile huge. He was glad she was there, even if it was for a few days this time.
She belonged with them, like it or not, she was family to him. His only daughter, who was here for the holidays hadn't had any children yet. So as far as he saw it Zayra was like a granddaughter.
"Hola." she smiled shyly at him.
"Zayra, I'm glad you came. As always, this is your home."
She bit her lip and looked at her hands. "Thank You." she swallowed the lump in her throat. He gently hugged her. She at first resisted, tightened her body but then slowly after a shaky breath let him hug her if only for a few seconds.
"Go rest up, Lourdes should be back in time for Dinner. I've invited a few people over tonight. I hope you don't mind."
"No of course not. Thank You again Don Xavier." she walked slowly away.
She inhaled sharply not wanting to cry. She loved this place and had wished to come back but now that she was here, everything about it brought back memories of her family.
She bit the inside of her lip, trying to be strong. She forgot that Roman was inside her room helping her with her bags. He dropped the bag when he saw her face.
"Zayra." he searched her face. "What's wrong?" he kissed her temple.
"Nothing Roman. I'm fine. I'm just...." she wiped a single tear that managed to fall.
He sat her on her bed. Held her to him. He hated seeing her broken like this. He hadn't really thought how she'd be here by herself and what it would do to her emotionally. He had only thought about them together.
"Zayra. You can talk to me. Don't shut me out please." he murmured in her ear.
"I know. I'm trying." she inhaled sharply.
After a moment she patted his back. Letting him know it had passed. His arms were a comfort to her.
"You want to rest? I'll be downstairs with my Godfather anyway." he searched her face, making sure she was okay.
"yes, I'm tired. I'd like to shower too before everyone shows up."
"Who's everyone?"
She shook her head. "I don't know. I didn't ask."
"Are you sure. I could stay with you...." his eyes turning dark.
"Noooo. You've done enough."
He sighed, grabbed her chin and looked at her mouth. "Zayra, I haven't even started." his eyes bright and mischievous.
