*****NOT EDITED****

Zayra was overwhelmed. The city was so busy, everyone was moving quickly. If you were slow, they'd just shoved you to the side. Jeremy walked around as if he knew it like the back of his hand. Zayra walked with Emily, trying hard not to get an anxiety attack. They were hurrying before they missed their reservation.

They headed to Le Bernardin, it was French cuisine restaurant. Her heart squeezed, ah France. Where her love was at. She hadn't spoken to him in over two weeks. She assumed that his training was taking longer. She saw the building and felt her stomach cry in hunger.

She saw everyone's faces as they blurred past her. They had arrived the night before and had had a busy day sightseeing. Josh wanted to see everything. Emily had to remind him that they had time.   They planned on staying for five days because Zayra and Josh had to go back to school to start with testing soon. It was evening now in New York and the streets were still chaotic.

The party that Zayra had agreed to sing was to be the next day at this swanky place in midtown New York. Zayra had gone shopping for New York. She needed to buy some nice clothes for today's dinner and tomorrow's party. It was too be a formal party. She didn't know how she'd manage. They were paying her for five songs. They sent her a list of songs that his wife loved.

She never felt comfortable around people with money. The Alonso's were different. They were salt's of the earth who stood humble regardless of their fortune. Even Henry and Emily who had been born rich maintained themselves grounded.

She wondered if that would happen to her. She hated money sometimes. It changed people. She wondered about the money her mother left her. Every time she thought about it, her stomach churned.

She would soon be rich but none of that mattered because she wouldn't have them around. What the fuck was the point of being rich when your life was no longer enriched by your loved ones. She thought about Roman, he was her loved one now. She had already decided to give all the money to charity anyway.

She wondered how Roman would feel if he knew about the arrangement that his godfather and his mother made. She knew his father knew about the arrangement. The three conspiring on the deal. Why? Who initiated the idea?"

Enrique had asked her what she thought about the deal back in Peru. It hadn't made sense to her at the time. He had told her Roman would be happy, but if he would be happy, why hadn't they told him. She sighed, It seemed so long ago.

She missed Roman, she wished she could see his face, touch his skin, feel his warmth around her. She must be going crazy she thought because she could have sworn the guy who was standing outside on his phone was Roman.

Her phone rang.

She pulled it out, hearing his ringtone.

She froze as they got closer.

"Hello." she answered and saw the guy smile the same way Roman smiled.

Roman!

He was there. It really was him. He was about to speak on the phone when he saw them. He gave her his shy smile. She literally jumped on him. She forgot she wore a dress. She heard the harsh intake of breath as she tangled her limbs on him.

He chuckled. "Surprised?"  his almond eyes bright.

"You fucking better believe it." she breathed onto his neck.

He pulled her away to look at her. His eyes turning dark as he looked at her appreciatively. His hold on her waist tightening.

They heard Jeremy's throat clearing. They turned embarrassed, the spell broken. She released her limbs from him.
