*****NOT EDITED *****
Aida was livid with jealousy. She heard about Roman and Zayra's engagement almost a month ago. But when the invitation arrived, it took her to the edge.
She had secretly wished they would cancel the whole thing. However as the days continued and the date to the Dinner loomed closer, she had to face the fact that it was happening.
She was getting ready for the party. Her mother was in a foul mood yet wouldn't hear about not attending tonight's event.
Aida watched her father walk on eggshells around her mother. She sometimes hated his weakness.
She couldn't wait for Carlos to arrive. He along with his mother were the only ones invested in making sure that Roman and Zayra never got married.
She heard Carlos voice and her mothers happy cheers at having him home. She had all her luggage ready to leave on their trip to Mexico. Her mother would accompany them for the weeks they were visiting.
Aida had also convinced Carlos to go to Mexico with them. She knew that Roman wouldn't be around granting time alone with Zayra.
They just had to worry about her uncle.
This is where her mother came in. She felt the anticipation building. She wanted Zayra and Roman's relationship to end.
She hated seeing them together. She never thought in a million years Zayra would reciprocate the feelings towards Roman.
Was she wrong.
She heard the knock on the door and smiled.
Show Time.

Zayra was on the phone doing her last radio interview. She tried hard not to curse or say anything to vulgar.
She saw Mimi helping her get her clothes ready. Roman was already downstairs waiting on her. She had scheduled two interviews by phone.
She knew guests had started trickling in. She, saw Mimi's nervous face trying to hurry her up without being rude.
She extended her hand, letting her know she had five minutes left.

Roman was waiting on Zayra to come down the stairs. He looked at his watch the one Zayra had given him for Xmas.
He smiled at the guests giving everyone the same story about, girls taking forever to get dressed. Just when he was about to explain Zayra's tardiness he watched her walking down the hallway toward him.
He held his breath.
She looked delicious.
Her dress looked stunning on her. She wore a coral sheath dress that played with her recent tan and intensified her jade eyes.
Her nude shoes showing her perfect pedicured toes. Her hair was in a messy french braid that left a few curls around her face.
She smiled knowingly at him, her eyes darting around his body. He felt his pulse quicken and his mouth water.
Damn, she was beautiful.
