****NOT EDITED****

Zayra felt different. She looked in the mirror and saw herself different. She had less than 4 weeks to prove she was better and capable of being out of this facility and be back into the real world. She had some doubts of course but instead of letting despair drown her, she tried something else. She still felt this immense feeling of sorrow and grief.

She was having a difficult time with that. She read some of the letters people wrote to her. Some of them asking for help to kill someone for them, others were to tell her off but more than anything she had many supporters. Many girls wishing they had the courage to have done what she had done to their attackers. She read a few letters from Elliott's past victims and had cried for days but felt much the better for it.

Jeremy had called her to tell her he'd be in sometime this weekend to visit her. She had seen Emily and Josh, Angie and Ryan, Daniella and Nico, all of the Alonso's. Even Martha had came by to see her.

She wasn't expecting anyone today but was surprised when they called her announcing a visitor. She walked out, thinking it was Jeremy who probably decided to drop by today.

Who she saw there was no one she had expected.

Her uncle Moises sat down waiting for her. She thought about leaving but then he turned and stood up. She thought about lashing out but knew it would count against her so she walked to him.

"What are you doing here?"

"Zayra, I'm here to see how you're doing."

"I'm good, goodbye."

"Wait Zayra!" she turned her body so he didn't touch her. He lowered his head. "Zayra, please. I wont say anything that will upset you. I just want to see how you're doing."

"Why?"

"Because you're the only family I have left."

She looked at him for a minute and nodded. She sat across from him. "You never had any kids?"

He sighed. "I have a daughter, she's close in age to you."

Now this was new to her. "Do you see her?"

"Sometimes. When I can."

"Who does she live with?"

"She lives with her mother and well I guess her father." he looked away.

"What do you want from me?"

He scratched his grey hair. "I want to help you Zayra. Listen, I know I've never been the best uncle, or best brother or even the best father but I need to start somewhere. I'm getting older now, I don't want to die knowing that there was more I could have done in this life."

She didn't believe him.

She nodded.

" Can I see you again?"

"I guess." she shrugged.

"Here, this is so you can get a hold of me." he stood and gave her his business card with cell phone number. "Zayra, I have a flight leaving but I needed to stop here first."

"Okay,"

"I'll call before hand see how you feel. Can I write you?"

She nodded.

He gave her a small smile. "I hope that one day you can meet my daughter, she looks like you."

"Maybe."

He nodded. "Good bye Zayra."

She watched him leave and felt her nerves crackling. Something about him threw her off. He might be saying the truth, now that he was getting older he was thinking about his actions but Zayra wasn't sold just yet.
