****NOT EDITED****
Emily and Jeremy left Zayra's therapist office the following day. He had agreed that Zayra needed therapy twice a week with him. He told them that he believed Zayra to be bipolar. That would explain her mood swings.
Unfortunately, the Therapist had let them know he had to let the court know every time she missed, excused or not absences. They figured as much. He had also turned in an evaluation of Zayra and would soon be sent to the D.A.
She was starting to show disturbing behavior that concerned the Therapist. They decided for Monday's and Wednesday's.
She called Don Xavier to let him know what was going on with Zayra. He said that whatever was necessary for her to get better so be it. He thought she was doing better. He wondered what happened to have made her shut down again. He would talk to her when she was here for Roman's birthday.
Zayra waited in the car, she didn't want to go in at all. The look on their face answered her fears.
"What did he say?"
"You're to come Monday's and Wednesday's starting next week. Zayra, he already notified the court about your absence. He said that he's working on your evaluation. Per the court's request."
She felt her veins cold. Her face green. She had to breathe in. She had done this. This was the consequences for her actions. She had to bit her tongue from yelling a bunch of obscenities.
"Zayra, breathe." Emily's urgent voice brought her back down.
She inhaled sharply, her body starting to convulse in what was considered fear.
"What's wrong Zayra."
"Nothing. I'm fine. I'm just..."
"Are you getting a panic attack?"
She nodded.
"What do you need us to do?"
"Nothing, it eventually passes." her breathing starting to climb higher. She breathed in and out, her chest rising at each panicked breath.
They waited for her to tell them she was okay. They heard her reciting poems, heard her breathing slowing and sounding normal. Her eyes were dark green, with specs of gold and wild. Her cheeks flushed.
"Are you okay?" Emily asked softly.
She nodded.
"We're going home. I think you should rest today."
They drove off, Zayra looking obliviously out the window. She had to get her shit together. She felt as if she was slipping but didn't know how to stop. She needed help but didn't know from whom. She wrapped her arms around her body, wishing her family was alive.

Carlos waited outside of Zayra's school. Emily had told him she sometimes stood after school practicing. He was leaning on his car when he saw her walking with another guy.
"Zayra!"
Her head snapped up, a smile slowly spreading. He saw the guy look at him and narrow his eyes. He walked toward her. They met halfway on the stairs. He hugged her and picked her up like old times. Her eyes flashing.
