****NOT EDITED****

Roman had called Emily before he had jumped on the plane. She told him she'd call him as soon as she heard anything. She quickly called her dad and told him what happened. She called Jeremy and he freaked out. Joshua looked at her scared. Ryan and Angie had showed up for a couple of hours began to call and text Zayra, worried about her.

She wasn't responding to anyone. Roman showed up late in the evening, hoping she would have showed up by now to their house. He was seriously beginning to get worried. He didn't know where to look for her.

He paced the front of Emily's house. He couldn't sit, he couldn't drive, he had to keep moving. His father and Don Xavier asked to please notify them as soon as they get a hold of her.

He had to wait till the next morning before reporting her as a missing persons. He had tried to track her by phone but she turned off her WiFi and location. He hoped she had either lost her phone or broke it. Giving her a good enough reason not to answer or call. It was past six in the morning when she finally responded that she was fine.

He almost fainted.

Finally

She was okay.

He thought of everything, who or where would she go? He raked his brain until it hit him.

Nico

He was her only good friend. His mom had looked out for them. He excused himself from Emily and drove like a mad man. It took a little over an hour to get to Nico's house. He parked in front and looked at Zayra's old apartment.

He shook his head, he knew it suddenly, he felt it, she had returned here. His gut churning for her. He was no longer as angry. He was just obsessed to find her.

He was worried.

He was about to go up the stairs when he saw Nico swaggering his way. Tamales and champurrado on hand. He looked him up and down, eyes narrow before recognition glinted his eyes.

"Roman? Damn dog, I was like who's this cat standing like he owns the block." He slapped his hand.

"Nico, it's been a while."

"Yes it has." He pulled his hat side ways. A slow smile spreading. He could see Romans anxiety. Zayra had told Nico everything last night. She had anticipated him coming to search for her. "Are you here for Zayra."

Romans eyes widened. "She's here?"

"Nah man, but I know where she's staying."

He felt bad for Roman, he had it bad for her. Roman was dumbfounded. He nodded. He wiped his forehead relief flooding through him.

"Do you know how fucking worried she has us?"

"Who Zayra?" And made a face. "She's still a little upset about whatever" he shook his hands. "but I know she's hurting. I'm glad you found her." He looked Roman squarely.

"Me too, thank you Nico. I think I should keep your number on speed dial for the next time this shit happens."

Nico laughed. "Oh yeah, she's a handful."

*******

Knock Knock Knock

There was that incessant knocking on the door, again. Zayra groaned. She kept getting woken up with crack heads wanting to buy shit.
