Emirates Bank International
Scarlet POV
A ringing sound boomed thunderously through the quiet interior of the bank, bouncing around the room.
Everyone raised their heads towards the device which caused this disturbance with faces filled with frowns.
They were about to close... who would call at this hour? And an even more disturbing question was, who would call in their disclosed line?
Looking around at her superiors and seeing no one making an attempt to answer the call, Scarlet rose from her seat and made her way towards the device.
Lifting it on unsteady and unsure hands she placed it to her ear.
"Hello good evening. Thank you for calling Emirates Bank International. This is Scarlet speaking. How may I help you?" Her voice came out soft and low with curiosity while her eyes looked back over her shoulders at her superiors who had not moved an inch since the phone had rang.
" It's good to hear your voice again sister." A familiar voice responded making all the hairs on her back stand. Had the room temperature suddenly dropped?
"W-what do you want?" She spoke harshly, bringing the phone closely to her mouth so that no one heard her.
"We will get to that in a bit. First I would like to know how you are?" the voice spoke again, filled with humor and playfulness.
"Alex I don't have time for your nonsense. Just tell me what you want!?"
"Oh sister, you wound me. All I wanted to know how you are....?"
"Alex we spoke this morning!"
"True. But a lot can happen between this morning till now." ALex mused.
"Good bye Alex." Scarlet moved the phone away from her ear, annoyed with her irritating little brat brother. He could never have a serious conversation. It was a miracle that he was so successful with that tiny brain of his!
"Wait!" She heard him call out. She rolled her eyes and brought it back to her ear.
"What?" She looked over her shoulders again, this time to see everyone doing their jobs once again no longer concerned with the call.
"I need to get some information about a client."
"Alex you know I can't give you that. Client confidentiality and all."
"Sister please. It's really important plus-" he paused.
"Plus what?"
"It is Matthew that wants this information."
"M-Mathew does?" She asked, her heart beat quicken by the methion of his name as a slow blush made it's way to her cheeks. As much as she tried to hide it, her brother knew that she had a crush on his friend and since the day he found out, he used it as a weapon to get what he wanted from her. It was a shame that Matthew only saw her as a sister and nothing else.... She prayed everyday that one day he might give her a chance.
"Yes."
"Fine. What is the client's name? Oh and tell Matthew he owes me big for this!"
'A kiss or two would do.' She thought as her blush deepened.
"Zach Lockwood..." ALex responded.
"Okay, give me a minute." She walked back to her desk, sitting in front of her computer she inserted the commands and waited for the appropriate files to appear. Finally sitting before her she spoke again.
" What exactly would you like to know?"
"He recently had money transferred from New York to the bank. Where did the money go?"
"Hmm." Scarlet hummed as her eyes roamed through the information on the screen.
"Huh this is weird?" She spoke, a frown on her face as she bit her bottom lip.
"What. What is weird?" Alex asked curiously.
"The money, Two million was transferred back to another account." She responded.
"I dont understand what is weird about that?"
"The money was transferred back to New York Alex. It's just under another name now...."
"And what name is it under now?" Alex asked.
"Catlane Samantha Williams."

Alex POV
Cat.
He knew it. All along it had to be her. Even for her, this was a new low.
This is why he never let women close to him, all they wanted was to get their wrinkleless perfectly manicured nails around men and squeeze them till they had control. Be it control over life or money....they were all the same. Devious witches.
Suddenly an idea flew into his head.
"When was the money transferred to the new account?"
"Uh yesterday morning..." Scarlet answered after a few second.
"Okay thanks alot sis. Bye." Alex dropped the call and dialed the nearest airport.
"Hello?" A heavy male voice answered.
"Yes, I would like to know if there was a flight to New York yesterday?" Alex asked, going straight to the point. Time was valuable.
"Umm, yes sir. Yesterday morning to be precise." The man answered.
"Thank you." Alex ended the call and turned towards Matthew who had been staring at him confusedly since he called his sister.
"We got her." Alex grinned.
"What? How?" Matthew asked, his brows tightened as he questioned.
"Questions later. Get packing. We leave London in an hour." Alex commanded, leaving Matthew to his thoughts.
Walking away towards the door, he opened it and shut it behind him. He dialled another number and pressed his phone to his ear.
"Yes Jerry, it's me. Have my jet ready within an hour. We are...visiting an old friend in New York.
