Chapter 50: Unbreakable

“Hearts will never be practical untill they can be made

Unbreakable.”

~The Wizard Of Oz

Kamie

I was drifting, and that’s all I knew.

Memories past me like colors in the wind.

“Are you okay?” A different voice says. It was guy. His words were refreshing compared to everyone else’s.

I turn to face him. He had a twinkle in his eye. He was gorgeous; his eyes were a soft brown, his black hair contrasted well against his grey t-shirt. His biceps were robust and well-flexed. He extends a hand towards me. My heart pounded. “Yeah, but my pride is kind of damaged.” I say.

He laughs. Chills ran up and down my back. He pulls me up onto the seat without any strain.

“I’m Keene.” He smiles.

“I’m Kamille, but everyone calls me Kamie.” I say back to him. My body went numb, all I could feel was a crashing against my rib cage. He was amazing, but I was a geek in glasses that were bigger than my face.

“What is it?” He whispered.

I shook my head at the floor, “Just nervous… that’s all.” I affirm.

“Don’t be.” He breathed.

His lips traced from my mouth down to my chest. My breathing accelerated. His hands wrapped around my back, unzipping my dress with caution. He continued to kiss my upper body as he took the dress off of me. I slid his tuxedo jacket off of his body, and unbuttoned his shirt and threw his tie behind me. I pealed the shirt off of his shoulders and traced his abs with the tip of my finger.

I pressed my palm to his heart, as he undressed me, kissing his jawline from time to time.

I brushed the ends of my fingers along his bottom lip, and around his ear, making my way to his chin.

He kissed my lips, and pressed my forehead to his, we breathed each other in. He continued to kiss my chest as I ran my hands through his hair.

“Kamille Ainsley Roe… will you do me the extodinary honor of letting me spend the rest of my life with you?” He asks, smiling waiting for my reaction.

I don’t know what I was more stunned by, the fact that he was proposing to me, or the size of that rock.

The shocked expression quickly pulled up into a smile.

“Yeah.”

“Yes?”
“Yes! Yes! I’ll marry you!” I shout excidetly.

He and I both laughed happily, he pulled himself up, and then effortlessly spun me in his arms again.

“Kamie Franklyn.” He said to himself. “Uh, maybe you should keep your last name.”

I only saw grey.

“Just wait for the morphine to wear off,”  I heard an unfirmiliar voice say.

“Are you sure I was fast enough?” A somewhat firmilar voice said.

“I’m positive, dear. You’re wife will be fine,” The unfirmiliar voice affirmed.

The dull feeling in my body faded away as pain replaced it.
