"Antonio?" Two young voices called out to the Spaniard. The said man turned to see two younger female nations.
One had long, wavy, dark brown hair, almost black and had pure honey-brown eyes. The other child had (hair type), (color hair) and innocent (eye color) orbs. They ran over to him with smiles.
"You're back!" The (hair color)ette said, her name was (Name). Antonio smiled at her, crouching down to meet their height.
"Welcome home, Antonio." The other girl, Ana said. He nodded in appreciation, ruffling both their hair.
"Wow, you two are growing big. Especially you, Ana!" It was true, New Spain was growing much quicker than Guardiana was.
Ana nodded happily. "We'll both be strong, like you and the others."
"Like Feliciano, Romano, France, and Prussia!" (Name) cheered. Antonio nodded in agreement, grinning at both of them.
"You'll be very useful to serve Spain." He said, taking both their hands tightly and walking back home.
(Five Years Later)
(Name) soonest blossomed into a young woman. Her people were doing well with the help of Spain. Her younger twin sister, wasn't here. She was doing well enough to live on her own in New Spain.
"Please, Antonio! This is unjust! All I want is my independence!" She heard a familiar voice yell out.
"No! You belong to Spain and that's final, Ana!" I rushed to the library and opened the door, only to see my brother standing over my sister, glaring at her.
"A-Ana? A-Antonio? What's going on?" She turned away from my brother, walking towards me with a stern look.
Before walking out, she grabbed her hand and intertwined her fingers with her own. Just as she left, dragging (Name) behind her, she stopped. "Goodbye....Spain." Ana dragged her along the hallway, not uttering a word.
"Ana! W-wait!" She ripped her hand away from Ana, looking at her in confusion. She could see the hurt look in her honey-brown eyes, but it was quickly replaced with an uncharacteristic sense of apathy.
"How oblivious are you? We're destined to be nations, (Name). We need to stop being dependent on Spain!" She clenched her fists in frustration. Her eyes widened in shock at her younger sister's sudden rage.
"You need independence, (Name)! You-you can join me! Or...." She looked slightly scared and surprised of her Ana's dark glare. "Will you fight against me by Spain's side?"
She turned away from her and began walking away. "I'll take your silence as a 'yes.'" (Name) dropped to her knees, quietly reaching out to her sister, attempting to call out to her, but only broken sobs came out of her lips.
(Name) sobbed quietly, gripping her dress in desperation. Slowly, footsteps echoed through the walls, then, a hand was placed onto her shoulder. She reluctantly looked up and saw Antonio.
He pulled her up and smiled at her, pulling her into a loving embrace. (1)"No té preócupes, we will fight to bring Ana back home." He whispered in his native tongue.
Forcing a smile, (Name) wiped away her tears. Only one thought ran through her mind as she readied the people of Spain and Guardiana for battle against New Spain. 'We will bring our little sister back.'
(A Few Years Later, Present Time: 1821)
New Spain had won. Spain and Guardiana had recognized New Spain as an independent nation. Ana had altered her country's name to Mexico, despite her people being in a weakened state, all was fine, she lived happily in a special alliance with a not too recent independent nation named America, Alfred F. Jones, I think.
(Name) sighed quietly as she brought a basket of fresh tomatoes inside the mansion. She tiredly wiped the sweat off of her forehead, unaware of the green eyes watching her.
"(Name)...." She looked up and smiled at the sight of her brother. "You are free from the control of Spain." Her eyes widened at his words.
"What? No! I'm not going to leave you like Ana did!" I heard a quiet laugh behind me. I turned to see my younger sister.
"Just because I'm independent now, doesn't mean I'm not grateful for my big brother and sister. After all, you two made stronger." Antonio wordlessly walked to her and set his hands on her shoulders.
He sadly grinned and pulled her close, letting the tears flow freely down his face. She eagerly hugged him back, shedding tears as well. Ana pulled away from Antonio and looked to (Name).
She walked over to me with a sad smile. Tears welled up in my eyes and before (Name) knew it, she was hugging her tightly, as if she were frightened her little sister would dissapear.
(Name) opened her arms and included Antonio into the hug. Ana's tears swelled up will tears, looking up at hrr siblings. (2)"Los amo muchó....Perdoname....para todó."
The youngest felt tears drop onto her head and both, Antonio and (Name) hugged her closer than they ever have before.
(3)"Simpré té amaré, hastá ál fín del mundo." (Name) whispered softly into her ear.
(4)"Ustédes simpré serán mís hermanitas." Antonio kissed their foreheads lovingly, closing his eyes in joy.
Guardiana grew to be a powerful, independent nation. Mexico lived in prosperity and peace with a special alliance with America, later known as the United States of America. Spain was supportive of both countries and was proud of them. After all, they took after their big brother.
(1) Don't you worry, we will fight to bring Ana back home.
(2) I love you both, so much.....Forgive me....for everything.
(3) I will always love you, until the end of world.
(4) You two will always be my little sisters.
