To me, pursuing a romantic relationship during high school was distracting to my academics and responsibilities. Well that was how I was raised. My parents were strict about me having a boyfriend and prevented any contact with boys.

So basically, I was putting in an all-girls school. Yeah, no boys to be around with and distract me from schoolwork. To be honest, I never really been deeply in love until I met him.

~Flashback~

The weekend had finally arrived and I went out to to a do a little gift shopping for my friend's birthday.  The mall wasn't packed as usual, much to my satisfaction.  After many hours, I had found the perfect gift for her and decided to treat myself to a fruit smoothie.

I finally saw the smoothie place and sighed contentedly. When my hand reached to open the door, a masculine hand met mine. I retracted my hand out of instinct.

"Oh sorry....Here." The boy looked to be at least a year older than me. He had maroon colored hair and dazzling ruby eyes. The stranger help the door open.

Thanking him, I walked inside of the store. I stood there waiting for him inside and stood in line with him beside me. When we were both two different cashiers, I heard at voice chorus with mine.

"Cherry Strawberry Smoothie please." I turned my head and saw the guy from before.

I smiled and paid for his smoothie too, even if he denied it. I was given the two drinks and handed one cup towards him.

"Here, my name is (name)."

The young man looked surprised at my polite voice and grinned, revealing sharp teeth. He gently took the cup from my hand.

"Thanks. I'm Rin."

~Flashback End~

From then on started a wonderful friendship. Rin and I had gotten along so well, heck we were practically two peas in a pod. We would meet up after school on weekends for friendly outings.

It was a beautiful, winter night and our schools had given us Christmas Break. Rin had invited me to go ice skating with him and I agreed to join him. I had felt strange feeling feeling my chest when I would think of the butterfly swimmer. I had ask my roommate for help on how to cure it before Rin arrived.

All she did was laugh at first. "(Nickname) don't you see? You're in love with Matsuoka-kun!" (Friend's name) squeals happily.

My eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. "Me? In love? But-" I started to reply.

"Butts are for sitting girl! Just admit it, you're finally found in love." she interrupted. I blush heavily, my hands covered my flustered face.

"What I'm surprised about is a pretty girl like you hasn't had at least one crush by now, but it's Rin! He's your first love!" (Friend's name) gasped.

Then I hear knocks on the door. Whew, lifesaver. The girl smirks mischievously. "Coming lover boy!"

"Shut up...." I complain.

Rin was dressed warmly in a black coat. He smiled at the sight of me. Rin ruffled my (color) locks. "Hey ready to go?" he asked.

I nodded and put n my (favorite color) trenchcoat. "Bye (friend's name)!"

"Don't stay out too late, you crazy kids!" She laughed from the sofa.

I sighed and closed the door behind me, I walk beside Rin. We soon exit the campus and head for the rink. I shiver and rub my hand to conserve warmth, bit no avail. Rin saw this, took my hand in his and putting it in his pocket.

"Thanks Rin. Your hands are warm." I thank him, seeing a small red burst onto his cheeks. Is it from the snow or from holding hands?

We finally arrived at the rink and rent our ice skates. I sigh in satisfaction as I felt the skates fit perfectly. I looked over to Rin and saw his difficulty with the skates. I giggled at his frustration and assisted him.

We walked over to the rink and cautiously set our feet on the ice. We both had no experience, but I could keep my balance without the help of the rail, unlike sharkie over here.

"Rin? You sure you're ok with this?" I chuckle as he held on to the rail.

"Shut it! It's not as easy to do." He explained.

I laugh at his little excuse. "Rin, what's up? You're spacing out again." This was the eighth time I saw go to dreamland.

"(Name)?" Rin calls out my name.

I nodded at him, showing him that I was paying attention. He sighed nervously.

"I was eavesdropping on the conversation you were having with (friend's name)...." I could hear the worry in his voice.

"W-what?! S-so you h-heard everything?"I shyly ask.

He nods. We had both slowed down to a stop, Rin standing at his full height and looking down at my figure. "I love you too."

"Wait, what?!" I gasped in shock and amazement.

'He actually l-loves me?!" I thought in my head, not believing his feelings.

He bent down to my lips, hands in his pockets and a sly smile on his face. "You know, I'm glad I heard the conversation." he captures my lips in quick, tender kiss.

When we seperated, I shyly smiled at him. Then I heard a group of 'aww's and saw and saw the skaters with their attention on us. I blush and hide my face on my boyfriend's chest, making him chuckle and embrace my smaller figure with his tall frame.

"And that's how I met your father and fell in love with him. Later having you, (son's name)." I smiled at the young child.

His ruby eyes glistened with wonder and happiness. "Didn't grandpa and grandma get angry at daddy for being in love?" He giggles, making his semi-long (hair color) move as his chest bounced with laughter.

Rin told his son. "They sure did kiddo. I got an earful of scolding with mommy here. But it was all worth it if it meant a life with her and you." My husband bopped our noses.

He then embraced us tightly, a grin plastered on all our faces.

~Extended Ending~

I was on the phone with (friend's name), telling her the important news. "Guess what?" I asked her, obviously content.

" I don't know." She answered.

"I'm pregnant again!" I squealed happily.

"Wait, I'm going to be a big brother?!" A voice gasped.

"Shush! She'll know we're here." Another voice scolded lightly.

"Rin, (son's name)...." I cooed in a bittersweet tone.

"Oh shoot..." my husband and (son's name) chorused.
