ALL MEAT BURRITO
We arrived on time. Niccolo bought the VIP standing section near the stage. Medyo mahal ang babayaran ko pero minsan lang naman so okay na rin naman. This is a one time experience so might as well enjoy the night.
It was already the start of the opening act when we were walking inside the dome. Pero madami pa ring tao sa labas ng entrance at sa lobby. Nakakahilo sa dami at ingay ng tao. Tahimik lang akong yumuko at naglakad kasunod nilang tatlo. Katabi kong naglalakad si Niccolo at nakapamulsa. Maingay na nag kukwentuhan sila Natasha, Sarah at Dianne ng kung ano ano sa mga kanta ni Ariana at halo halo ng tungkol sa ilan pa nilang mga kaklase na manunuod din ng concert.
Lumingon lingon ako at nakita ko ang iilan sa mga babaeng nakakalat pa sa labas ng lugar na tumitingin sa direksiyon ni Niccolo. Mga babaeng halos kapareho ng suot nila Natasha. Kung hindi mga naka short ay naka maikling mga dress. Ang iba ay mga naka boots din o kaya naman ay naka heels din na sobrang tataas.
Some are even obviously staring at Niccolo. There are some guys roaming around the venue. Most of them gays, some are probably boyfriends of some girls, then some like Niccolo. But of course there can only be one Niccolo in the area. The tall, white and handsome young man beside me. I side glanced at him and he seemed to be mindless of the girls and to my surprise he was looking sideways on my direction too. Agad akong nagpilig ng ulo sa kabilang direksiyon at nag panggap na lang na hindi ko siya nakita.
He's wearing a dark blue polo shirt and acid washed maong pants and he's wearing a brown top sider. Lalo siyang gumwapo sa suot niya. Idagdag pang mabango siya talaga. I suddenly felt conscious of my smell. Parang amoy nanigas na lumang mantika na ako.
"Hi Jake!" Kaway at sigaw ni Sarah sa isang lalaking mukhang kaedad nila. Napansin kong napairap si Natasha.
"What the hell. You're still flirting with him?" Mahinang sabi ni Natasha sa kaibigan.
Mukang hindi naman sila napansin ni Niccolo na nagulat ako ng biglang yumuko at may ibinulong sa akin. "What do you want to eat?"
"Uhm..." Napatingin ako sa lalaking chinito at maputi na papalapit sa amin. Kumaway siya kina Natasha. At kumaway din naman ang tatlo.
"You better talk to him asap. Dianne and I will just go to the powder room to freshen up. We'll wait for you there." Natasha said before the guy arrived and kissing the guy's cheek and saying something incoherent then she turned to us.
Pinakilala kami ni Natasha sa kadarating lang na lalaki and when she reached me she just said that I'm some classmate.
"We'll just go to the powder room kuya." She said sweetly to her kuya. Dianne and Sarah who seemed to be smitten by Niccolo's appeal just nodded his head to the girls. Mukang matagal na nilang kilala ang kuya ni Natasha at matagal na nila itong crush na halatang halata na mula pa kanina sa sasakyan. They asked so many questions in which Niccolo chose not to answer and he just laughed off.
"I'll buy us some food. What'd you like?" Niccolo said to the girls.
"Just buy us three unsweetened iced tea. We're watching our calorie intake." Natasha turned to me eyeing me. Napangiti ako ng pilit. She didn't return the smile and just turned around and walked away with Dianne. Naiwan si Sarah na kausap yung Jake.
"Bibili na lang ako ng sa akin." Hindi ko na hinintay pang sumagot si Niccolo at lumakad na ako ng akin sa kabilang direksiyon.
Lumapit ako sa isang stall ng burrito. "Ate! Isa nga pong all meat burrito saka po XL na soft drink yung diet." Ngiti ko sa ateng nagtitinda na nakatulala sa likod ko. I didn't mind her and busied myself fishing for my bills.
