Chapter 26

"Blade,pare."

Andrea and I were greeted by one of my best friends, Vince, when he saw us approaching their table. 

"Vince." I greeted Vince. 

"Hey" Vince gave me a hug and a pat on the arm. That's what we always do whenever we see each other. It's like a brotherhood gesture.

"So,this pretty lady beside must be your soon-to-be bride?" He said as he eyed on Andrea who remained silent beside me. I don't know why but I feel protective and somehow a little bit irritated at how my best friend looked at her with admiration. If I didn't know Vince and that he isn't my best friend,maybe I've gone mad and gave him a punch on his face for looking my girl that way.

My girl! Wait, did I just say that? Andrea. She is my girl. Yeah,she is my girl. Mine.

I know that Andrea wasn't comfortable when I felt her hand squeezed mine. Knowing her,she may not be used to that feeling where an opposite gender is looking at her like she's a piece of cake waiting to be eaten. Damn,amongst us,Vince is the most notorious when it comes to women. How many girls and women have he gotten bed and left crying? 

I turned to looked at Andrea by my side. I squeezed her hand too and she looked at me. I smiled reassuringly at her hoping that she would understand what I mean. I want to make her feel comfortable and everything's going to be okay because I won't let anybody get near her even if it's one of my best friends.

"Baby,this is one of my best friends. Si Vince. Vince,this is my soon-to-be-bride,my fiancee,Andrea." 

"Hello,pretty. I'm Vince. Vince Martin. This a-holes best friend unfortunately." Vince was so quick to take Andrea's other hand and kissed it. I was taken aback of what he did.

"What the fuck,man!" I hissed at him not hiding my emotion. I was pissed. Jealousy came rushing down to me that I want to break every piece of bones of my best friend.

"Hey,chill,dude. It's nothing. You know me." natatawang wika pa ni Vince.

"Fuck!" inis kong usal. Kinuyom ko ang isang kamao ko para kontrolin ang sarili ko.

"Blade...tama na.." nakalma lamang ako ng marinig ko ang malumanay na boses ni Andrea. Hindi ko namalayang yung kamay na hinalikan kanina ng kaibigan ko ay nakahawak na ng mahigpit sa braso ko. When I looked at her confused and nervous face,I totally forgot why I'm mad. I quickly calmed down just by looking at her. Especially her eyes that begged me. Nangungusap iyon.

I don't know what's gotten to me pero hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili kong kabigin siya at hagkan ang noo niya. "I'm sorry,baby." utas ko pa.

"Gezzzz,this is to cheesy."

Vince said. I gave him a deadly stare but he just smirk at me. Same old Vince. Never changed.

"O siya,are we done here? Rob and Krista are waiting on our table already." muli itong nagsalita saka tinalikuran na sila.

Nagkatinginan muna kami ni Andrea.  I can't helped but smile when I saw how red she was. She must be embarrassed when I kissed her in front of my best friend.

"Let's go." sabi ko kay Andrea saka sinundan na namin si Vince.

When we arrived at the table,there I spotted my other best friend, Rob and his fiancee for a year now na si Krista. 

"Hey,brother. Long time no see." bati agad ni Rob sa akin. Tumayo ito saka nagyakapan din kami gaya ng ginawa namin ni Vince kanina.

"Rob. Nice to see you again,Krista." binati ko na din si Krista na nakangiti na rin sa akin. 

"Likewise, Blade." ani Krista.

" By the way,Rob, Krista, this is Andrea, my fiancee." pakilala ko kay Andrea sa kanila.

"Hi! I'm Rob. This douchebag's best friend." si Rob. Like Vince,he wanted to punch him too but then when he remembered that Andrea is beside him,he tried to calm down and just let the teasing of his two best friends pass. 

"Honey,huwag ka nga diyan. Ay naku,Andrea, don't mind him. Mga loko yang mga best friend nitong si Blade. Sa kanilang tatlo,si Blade ang may katinuan. I'm Krista nga pala. This mother fucker's fiancee unfortunately."

Napatawa siya sa sinabi ni Krista. If there is someone who could match Rob's attitude,it should be Krista. No wonder,tiklop ang kaibigan niya sa babae dahil hindi rin ito papadaig sa kaibigan niya. They have a cat and dog relationship noong una pa lang magkakilala ng mga ito. It was like hell meets hell. Krista was the only woman who was able to reject his friend. It even took Rob months before she agrees to be his wife kahit pa magkakilala na ang mga ito ever since their childhood. 

The four of them were actually, childhood friends. Siya, si Vince, si Rob at si Krista. They grew up together kaya naman Rob and Krista's story wasn't that easy too. It was full of drama and chasing.

"Hello. Nice to meet you too,Rob and Krista." ani Andrea. Nagyakapan ang dalawang babae habang nakangiti lang siyang nakatingin sa mga ito.

"Oh my gosh,you Steven Blade Mondragos,is one hell lucky guy." anas ni Krista. "I think,I found my new best friend already." natitilihang wika pa nito sabay yakag kay Andrea. Dahilan upang mabitawan niya ito. Hindi na siya nakahuma pa dahil tuluyan ng nahila ni Krista si Andrea.

"What the.."

Napatingin siya kay Rob pero nagkibit balikat lang ang kaibigan niya.
