The next day, Allie was sitting in her room thinking about the audition. "I really don't want to do this, but Lucy thinks I should. Oh, what do I do?" She sat on her bed listening to a country artist that she loves, Hunter Hayes. "Should I sing one of your songs?" She looked at her poster of him hanging on her wall. "No, people would just think I'm weird."
A noise startled her. Allie looked at her phone, hoping it would be a text from the guy she likes, Easton, but it was just from Lucy.
The text read, "Hey! Do ya know if you're gonna do it?"
Allie asked herself, "What have I gotten myself into?"
She replied to it saying, "Listen, I know you really want me to do this, and I think I'm going to, but it would help if you didn't bother me about it, ok?" She hot send, hoping it wouldn't hurt her friend.
Her phone vibrated. It was Lucy. It read, "That's alright. I understand. I'll leave you alone, just let me know if you need anything!"
Allie fell back on her bed, relieved. She looked once more at her Hunter poster and laughed, wishing he was there with her.
