The family and Hunter sat down for dinner. Allie and Hunter stayed where they were sitting, next to each other. Milly spent the whole night staring at Hunter, which made him a little uncomfortable.
"So, Hunter, where are you from?" Allie's dad, striking up a conversation.
"Well, I grew up in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, but I'm on the road so much, I live in a bus," he laughed.
"On the road?" Allie's dad didn't know who he was. Hunter looked at Allie for help.
"Hunter's a musician," Allie said. "He's a country artist. Already has 4 hits."
Mr. Pelfer looked at Hunter, letting this sink in. "That so?"
Hunter nodded. "Yes, sir."
Milly chimed in, "And he's my soul mate." Hunter and Allie looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Milly looked at them. "Allie, don't get any ideas, he's mine."
Hunter was getting sick of Milly. He cared about Allie very much, so much that he started to have feelings for her. He couldn't tell her, otherwise her and Easton would never work out and he wanted it to for her. He wanted to tell her. "I can't," he thought.
"Hunter? You ok?" Allie asked him, as he was picking at his food.
"What? Oh, sorry. I was thinking." He looked at her. Every time he did, his heart would skip and he would get somewhat nervous when they talked, but he always covered it up.
"You sure were thinking for a while. Dinner has been over for 5 minutes," she informed him. "We're gonna watch a movie."
"Can I talk to you first?"
