After the school rehearsal, Allie got in Hunter's car. "Alright, what was the meaning behind your note from this morning? It's not what I think it is, is it?" she asked, hoping it wasn't.

"Absolutely not! I see the school you go to and I would never do that anyway. I just meant, that I'd like to get together, I guess." Hunter looked at her.

"Oh, well, what do I do about Easton then? I have a date with him on Friday."

"Right, and plus I'm older than you and when this is done, we probably aren't going to see each other again," Hunter said, disappointed.

Allie didn't know what to say. "Hunter, I'm sorry. It just wouldn't work out. Trust me, I'm upset about it too but I...I just can't."

They pulled into Allie's driveway. "I'll see you at rehearsal a little later, ok?" Hunter started to back out, when Allie opened the car door again.

"Wait," she said. She climbed back into his car, leaned over the center counsel and kissed his cheek. "Why don't you come in? I promise that we won't let time get away from us again."

He looked at her and smiled back. "Alright," he said, taking her hand then letting go as she got out of the car. He watched her. All he wanted to do was stay with her and never let her go, but he knew he couldn't.
