Allie came inside and had a snack. She was just about to the fridge, when someone called to her.
"Allison, what is this?"
Wondering what was going on, she went upstairs and walked into her room and found her mom in there. Hoping she wasn't snooping, she asked, "What's what?"
Her mom had a piece of paper in her hand. "Are you hiding something from us?"
Allie took the piece of paper from her mom's hand She thought, "Phew! It's just the audition form!" She looked at her mom. "Mom, it's just an audition for Prism. It's nothing you need to worry about. I may not even do it."
Her mom stared at her. "Why didn't you tell me about this, Als?"
Confused, Allie asked, "What's the big deal?"
Her mom sat down on her bed next to her. "Allie, there's something I need to tell you. I probably should've told you sooner."
An expression of worry came upon Allie's face. "You and Dad aren't splitting up, are you?"
"Goodness, no!"
Allie relaxed a little, but was still worried about what her mother had to say. "Well, then what is it?"
"I think we're going to be out of tow that weekend."
Allie thought about this for a minute. "Mom, I may not even audition. Lucy is the one that wanted me to."
Her mom put an arm around her. "Try out and then we'll see if I can reschedule the trip, ok?"
"Alright. Thanks, Mom." Her mom smiled at her and walked out of the room.
Allie lied down on her bed, looking at her Hunter poster and started to smile. "You always know, don't you?" That poster could always make her smile.
