Allie woke up in Hunter's arms. "Oh, my gosh! I have to go to school! Hunter, wake up! I have school!"

"Huh? Tell Dann. He's up."

Allie walked across the hallway and knocked on Dann's door. When he opened, she asked him, "Hi, Mr. Huff-"

"Please, call me Dann," he said.

"Could you please take me to school?"

"Sure," he said. They walked to his car and he drove Allie to school. When she was there, Lucy and Gabby were at her locker.

"We were waiting for you. Why are you so late?" Lucy asked.

"And wearing the same clothes?" Gabby added.

"I overslept and my mom hasn't done laundry," she lied. "Oh, shoot, my backpack! Excuse me, I have to call my mom." Instead of calling her mom, she called Hunter and told him that her backpack was there and she needed lunch money. He said he would bring it over.

After class, Allie was called into the office. "A very nice gentleman came and brought you your things, Allie," Mrs. Newol, the school secretary, told her.

"Thank you," Allie said, picking her stuff up. She found an envelope with money and a note from Hunter saying, "Sorry about last night. Time kinda got away from us. You seemed like you needed to get that out, so if you want to talk again, you know were to find me :)" Allie smiled at the note.

As she walked to class, she dropped the note and Easton picked it up and started reading it.
