The next morning, Allie thought that the day before was a dream. Her mom came in her room and asked her, "Ready for your audition today?"

Allie Sat up. "It's today! Oh, gosh, I don't know if I'm ready!"

Her mom sat on her bed. "You'll be alright. Milly is about to leave." Her mom left the room.

"Why do we have to leave so early?" Allie groaned to herself.

They got to school and Allie walked to her locker When she opened it, there was a note inside. It was from Lucy. It read, "Are you ready? I bet you'll do great! Good luck, Allie!" She smiled. She knew that Lucy would be her friend till the end.

After school, the auditions were going on, Allie kept pacing back and forth when her phone rang. It was Hunter. "Hello?"

"Hey, Allie. It's Hunter. Have you had your audition yet?"

"No, I'm after the next two."

"Well, I called to wish you luck! You'll do great!"

Allie smiled. "Thanks, Hunt-" She couldn't say his name. "Thanks, Mom," she said awkwardly and hung up.

Before she knew it, she was up. She walked into the music room.

"Allie, you decided to try out," Mr. Sherman said to her. She just smiled. "What song are you singing?"

"Ummm, well, before I sing, umm, I asked the artist of this song if he'd like to do a duet with me and he said yes. He's in town now, I promise."

Mr. Sherman didn't know what to make of it. "Ok, well, who is it?"

"Hunter Hayes, country artist, Allie informed him.

"I've heard of him Let's see what you got though."

Allie started to sing Faith To Fall Back On and when she was done, Mr. Sherman applauded her. "Very nice! I'll let you know."

"Mr. Sherman," Allie started, "I need to know today so he doesn't have to waste time here. And I was going to song another song for the performance."

"Then, yes, you're in."

Allie was overjoyed. "Thank you! And if you don't mind, on the pocket schedules, can I have the song I sang for the audition on it? And can we be last?"

Mr. Sherman looked at her. He saw how happy and excited she was. "I'd imagine!" Allie smiled. She walked out of the door to tell Hunter.
