Allie sat back down next to Hunter where she was and finished her story. "30 minutes after they left our house, we got a phone call from the hospital. They said that Nicole had died. We rushed to the hospital where Josiah was. I remember running to him. He was like a big brother to me. He hugged me for so long, while I was crying my eyes out. We were outside the room that Nicole was in. My parents went in and they were in there for a good hour. I remember Josiah telling me that I'll see her again and that he would never leave my family." she stopped.

"Did you ever hear from him?" Hunter asked, getting tears in his eyes.

"He went off to Texas to do some stuff. I haven't heard from him since."

"Wow, Allie I'm so sorry this happened!" He hugged her.

"Thanks, it was 9 years ago, but when I think back to it, it feels like it was yesterday."

"I bet," Hunter said, hugging her tightly.

"Josiah is the reason I have trust issues. He said he would never leave, but he did," she said, taking a deep breath.

"You've never tried to keep in touch with him?"

"My parents might've. He stayed in touch for at least a year, then just stopped."

"Wow, you really were affected by this, weren't you?" He was still hugging her.

"Yes, I was," Allie replied, hugging him tightly.

He let her go, a little confused, "Wait, how come Milly wasn't?"
