The last bell rang and Allie saw that Milly was busy with her boyfriend. "Great, no ride home," she said aloud.
"Excuse me?" It was Easton.
"Oh, sorry. I-I was talking to myself," she said, knowing that she was blushing.
"You seem cool. How come we never talk?"
Allie couldn't believe that this was happening. "Oh, I don't know." She half smiled.
Easton saw it and he laughed.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" She was wondering why he was laughing.
"No," he smiled.
"Hey! Easton, you coming, man?" His friends were calling him.
"Well, I gotta go. Text me."
"Bye," Allie said, innocently. She watched him leave and when he was pit of sight, she ran to the bathroom. She was all red in the face and was shaking.
Gabby came in. "Hey, Allie. You alright?"
"Boy am I! Easton actually talked to me!"
"That's great!" Gabby laughed. Allie couldn't stop smiling. "You need a ride home, don't you?"
"Yes, please," Allie replied.
