They sat there for 45 minutes in silence, when Mr. Sherman pulled in. The two got out of the car, still not talking.
"Sorry I'm late. I was finishing up dinner," he apologized.
"It's alright," Allie said.
When they got in the gym, they went to the stage and got ready. "This is going to be awkward, we're fighting," Allie thought. They started and when it was Hunter's cue, Allie said, "Hunter, wait." He stopped and looked at her. "I'm sorry I blew up at you. I just wanted you to stop apologizing. I told you already that it was ok." She hugged him tightly.
"Hey, hey, it's alright. I forgive you," Hunter told her, hugging her back. "I should've let it go, but I didn't." He noticed that she was crying. He did as he promised and he cried with her, even if Mr. Sherman didn't know what was going on.
"Everything ok?" Mr. Sherman asked.
"Hunter's just keeping his word," Sam spoke up. "He told, er, well sang to her that whenever she cried, he would cry with her."
"It's actually pretty touching," Matt added, eyes watering a little.
"Don't be such a baby," Sam was talking to Matt.
"Me?" Matt said, wiping his eyes.
"No, the other Utterbass," Hunter said to him. Matt rolled his eyes at Hunter. He looked at Allie. "You ok now?"
"Yes," she smiled. "Thanks." He kissed the top of her head and they rehearsed again.
