Allie and Hunter walked through the door. Allie's mom was making dinner. "Well, there she is!" her mom said. "Where were you last night?"

Allie told Hunter where her room was and that he could wait there. She went over to her mom. "Sorry, I was at the hotel with Hunter. I, um, told him about Nicole."

"Oh, that's alright, as long as Milly doesn't find out." Her mom put the dinner in the oven. "Ready for dinner?"

"Yes. Could Hunter stay for dinner?" Allie asked, hoping her mom would say yes.

"I hope so. I need to get to know him, and your father needs to meet him, too," she said as she set up the kitchen table.

"Thanks. And, um, could I show him Nicole's room?"

"As long as you touch nothing," she warned.

"I never do," Allie told her as she walked out of the kitchen, and headed to her room. Hunter was sitting in her bed, looking through picture albums.

"This her when she was little?" he handed her the album as she sat next to him.

"Yep, that's her. Look at those eyes. Yours remind me of hers, you know," she said looking at him. "I wish I looked like her."

"Don't say that. You looked like her, a lot. I see it," he smiled.

Allie was baffled. "Thanks, but my parents say that I don't look like her. She was their favorite." Hunter closed the album and hugged her.

Little did they know, Milly was right outside Allie's room. They soon found out when she came barging in yelling, "HUNTER!"
