"Is that even going to work?" Allie asked.

"That's what the doctor said," her mom said as she sat on her bed with her. "We have to try if you want his memory back."

"How many days does he have to relive?"

"The past two," her mom said. "What did you guys do?"

Allie thought for a little while. "That includes today, doesn't it?"

"Yes, it does."

"All of it? Even to the point where you gave him the pill?"

"I'm afraid so, Allie." Her mom put her hand on Allie's. "I won't give it to him again, though. What did you guys do?"

She couldn't remember what they did, so much happened. "I-I can't remember."

"You didn't take one, did you?" Her mom asked.

"No, I didn't even know that we had them," Allie said.

"Emily? Where'd you go?" Hunter called.

Allie stood up and wiped her eyes. "I'd better go see what he wants," she said, and walked downstairs. "What, Hunter?"

He turned to face her. "Oh, I'm so glad you came. I have something to ask you."

"What?"

"Will you forgive me, Allie?"
