The next morning, Allie woke up late.
"Come on, Allie!!!" Her sister was yelling at her again. She started to get tears in her eyes, but she knew that she had to be strong because she didn't want her parents to worry. She got in the car and they drove off to school.
Lucy and Gabby were just getting there when they were. "Hey, Allie," they said in unison.
"Hi," Allie replied quietly.
Gabby saw that she was sad. "What's wrong?" She asked her friend.
"Milly... she's always yelling at me."
Lucy heard what she said and told Allie, "Its typical sibling rivalry, it'll be ok!"
"Thanks, Lucy, but I feel like it's not. It feels like she ready hates me."
Gabby looked at Allie and noticed that she was tearing up. Gabby took Lucy by the arm and let Allie walk to her locker. "She's telling the truth. Maybe Milly does does hate her. With how she's putting, it really seems like it."
Lucy thought about this. "She's never said anything about it before. Maybe one of us should go to her house after school and see."
Gabby watched Allie open her locker and hang her head. "I would feel like I'm intruding, though. Let's leave it alone and see how it goes."
Lucy nodded "You're right," she said with a small smile, and the two walked off to class.
Allie watched them and felt a little left out. While watching them, she saw Easton. He was with his friends. She tried to pit a smile on her face, tried to cover up the hurt in her eyes. Easton walked by her ans their eyes met. She smiles and he returned it. He walked away and she started smiling like she never has before. She knew that everything would be ok.
