Hunter tightened his grip on her. "Allie! Knock this off right now!" She tried to free herself from him.

"Let go of me!" She finally got away from him and ran out the door to the back parking lot, leaned up against the wall and cried.

She left Hunter wondering what had gotten into her. "She just needs to be left alone."

Suddenly, Mr. Sherman came through the door and saw Hunter, "Where's Allie?"

Hunter explained what had happened. "She just needs to be left alone right now." Mr. Sherman went to the door leading outside. Hunter ran in front of him. "Trust me, just let her cool off."

"She needs to talk about this." Hunter was still blocking the door.

"Mr. Sherman, I know you're trying to help and I want to too, but she just needs to settle down."

Mr. Sherman backed away. "Maybe you're right," he said walking into his office. Hunter left the door.

"Please, just leave her alone. If she comes inside, tell her that I'm waiting for her on stage," Hunter said as he was walking to the doors.

"Wait, don't you think she's not in the mind set to sing?"

Hunter turned around. "I'm her ride home and I'd like to talk to her privately."

"Fair enough."

Hunter left and sat on the stage, waiting.
