Tell me. Allie last heard those words when she and Hunter were at DiMaggio's. She couldn't tell Lucy. "Lucy, If I could tell you, I would, but I cant."

"You can, but you won't. What's the big secret?"

"If I told you, you'd never believe me! And it wouldn't be a secret anymore. It's bad enough that-" she stopped, thinking that if she mentioned Milly, Lucy might ask her.

"What's bad enough?"

"Nothing. I gotta go."

"How can you go? Your ride left."

Allie ignored Lucy and called her mom, but hung yo as she saw Hunter was still there. She went outside and walked to the van. "Why did you stay?" she asked, getting in the van.

"I wanted to make sure that you were ok," Hunter told her.

"I am, but our cover was almost blown."

:How?" Hunter asked, starting the van and pulled out of the parking lot.

Allie told him the whole story, starting from when Easton was at her locker. "So, I finally told her that I had to go," she finished.

"You turned him down? Why?"

"Because, we're rehearsing again," she said into the wind from the window being down.

"We never stopped," he said.

Allie looked at him. "But since yesterday, I thought-"

"You thought wrong, Allie," he said with a smile. He took a wrong turn. He was heading to the hotel, but Allie didn't know.

"Where are we going?"

"I have a surprise for you," he told her with a smile.
