This one is for A-Lonely-Hockey-Fan, hope you'll like it:) And also, happy Valentine's Day to everyone:)

To earn some extra funds, you work in a small florist every two days for four hours per day.  Sometimes, you take extra shifts, especially when you don't have to study for exams.

~TWO YEARS AGO

As the Valentine's Day is approaching, your boss asks you to spend some more time in the flower shop. One thing that should be mentioned is that Valentine's Day annoys you. Not because you are single, but because everyone is so crazy about it. You mentally prepare for today's shift to be full of guys, buying bouquets for their girlfriends and few of them telling you their romantic stories about how they met their soul mate and blah, blah, blah. And to make things worse, you have to wear a "Valentine's Day" uniform: red T-shirt with red tassel shaped like a heart, white jeans and a red headband with a fake rose on it. Not forget to mention, you have to serve every client with a bright and huge smile.

Somewhere in the middle of your shift, a group of men walks in. Few of them stand at the entrance awkwardly, while few of them approach you.

"How can I help you, guys?"

"Well, I would like to buy flowers for my girl...any suggestions?"

"You could bring her roses, which are quite an usual choice for Valentine's Day..."
"I am planning to propose her."

"I think I have something special for that..."

You disappear in the back room of the shop, where you have "Valentine's Specials", the offer of bouquets for special occasions. Still, you keep one eye on the shop and you notice the guy who asked you for help leaving the shop. You hurry back and open your mouth to call you back, but someone stops you.

"He'll be back. He just went to the jewelry to buy a ring."

"Oh, okay. But..."
"I am his best friend and he asked me to pick the flower arrangement instead of him."

Hesitantly, you show his the offer and you can't resist small talk while he is picking up the bouquet for his best friend: "What about you? Not really a romantic type?"

With his head still down, he chuckles: "I am really romantic type, but I have no one to show that."

"I can hardly believe that... But you must have someone you like?"

"No, not really. I am Brady, by the way. Brady Skjei."
"Y/N. Nice to meet you, Brady. Here," you take a red rose and hand it over to him "take this. After all, it's Valentine's Day, so why not spreading a bit of love?"
He blushes dark red and still red-cheeked, leans over the counter and gives you an awkward peck.

Surprisingly, you can't get that tiny peck out of your head and you wish for him to come by any other day, but he doesn't.

~NOW

"Y/N, where are you?"

"Bedroom!" you yell and check the bedroom for the last time. Everything is in order, only your boyfriend of one year is missing. Rose petals filled the room with a pleasant scent and vanilla candles only made it better. You find yourself thinking whether you should do something more, but the sound of approaching footsteps interrupts that thought. Soon the door open and reveal your boyfriend, his hair sticking up and huge smile on his cheeks. His cheeks turn slightly pink and he chuckles awkwardly: "Did you do that?"
