Run From the Demons 2 (Sequel)

Chapter Thirty Two

I gasped, my vision becoming clear all at once. I blinked a few times before looking around the car. Cali was staring at me, both of her hands on my shoulders. She was shaking me. Her green-blue eyes were as wide as tennis balls, and full of concern. I looked out my window and noticed that she had parked at the side of the road, so we weren’t moving. Breathing heavily, I swallowed the lump that was forming in my throat and looked directly at her. Once she noticed I was looking at her, she removed her hands from my shoulders and leaned back in her seat, still staring at me. She was waiting for me to say something. I cleared my throat and let out a shaky breath. 

“Well? What did you see?” She asked. I took a moment before I answered.

“I know where Harry is.” I answered, looking down at my hands. I looked back up at her as she gasped. She looked shocked.

“Wait, you know where Harry is?” She asked and I immediately nodded.

“Yeah, and he’s got the boys! That’s why they weren’t answering their phones!” I say, now panicking a little. My heart beat quickened slightly, and my breathing was becoming labored. 

“Where are they?” She asked quickly. I shut my eyes tightly, trying to fight back tears. It was the first time I’ve cried in a while, and I didn’t want to start crying again. I hate crying. It makes me feel more weak and vulnerable than I already am. And I should have known that the demon would go there. It’s private, abandoned, and barely anyone ever goes there. Except that one time Louis and I went there. “WELL?” She asked, growing impatient. I opened my eyes and looked up at her.

“Remember when Louis took me on that date to that old building after his little freak out?” I asked. She nodded. “Harry’s there.” I finished. Her eyes widened once again and she looked at me in disbelief. 

“Are you sure it’s there?” She asked. I nodded slowly, not trusting my voice. Honestly, I’m only guessing that that’s where he took them. I could be wrong. She sighed loudly, turning the car on. “Alright then, let’s go.”

“Why would he choose the place where you and Louis went on a date out of all places to hide?” Cali asked after about almost an hour of no talking. I looked over at her and shrugged.

“Probably because it’s far off from the public eye, it’s abandoned, people don’t go there often, and the demon knew it would probably affect me since Louis and I went on a date there.” I answered. Cali nodded and focused on the road once again.

“How much farther?” She asked. I looked out the windows and at our surroundings. They were familiar.

“Not much farther. We’re getting closer, I can feel it.” I answered. The sky was now completely black, no stars or moon showing because the dark night was cloudy, and was blocking their light. I mentally sighed, leaning my head against the glass window and staring outside at the surroundings. They were getting more and more familiar. I knew that we were getting close. 

I felt so upset though. Harry’s possessed again! I guess he lost the demon protection charm that I gave him. Dammit! Why didn’t he tell me? I would have given him a new one. He really should have told me in the first place. It’s my fault that he’s possessed again. I should have watched out for him more. I can’t believe how stupid I was. I should have stopped this. I’m so stupid! The boys have gone through so much hell because of me! It’s all my fault! Why do I have to be so damn vulnerable? I mean, come on! I was raised to not show my emotions so much! Then Louis comes along and I just had to fall in love with him. Stupid feelings and emotions.

After maybe another fifteen minutes of driving I see a familiar building off in the distance. I squint my eyes a little and immediately recognize it as the building that Louis took me to on our date and the one that was in my vision. I elbow Cali and she looks over at me. I point out my window.
