Alexis’ P.O.V

“Alexis?” I hear Dean’s voice call. I look up from my hunting journal and over at him. I’ve been staying with Sam and Dean for the past two days since I was most definitely not going to stay in Topeka. Not while Louis was there.

“Yeah?”

“You okay?” He asks, and I sigh.

Since I’ve been here he’s been constantly asking me what’s wrong. I’m pretty sure he knows that it’s something to do with Louis, but he just hasn’t brought it up to me, which I am quite thankful for.

“I’m fine, Dean. Really.”

“You sure?” He asks. “Because you know you can talk to me.”

“Honestly Dean, it’s nothing. I just wanted to spend some time with you and Sam,” I lie.

“Yeah, sure you did.” Dean sits down next to me on the bed and I scoot away a bit. “Alexis, I know that something’s been bothering you. I can see it in your eyes.” I look down at my hands and begin to twiddle with my fingers. “Is it something to do with Louis?”

“It’s none of your damn business!” I snap.

“So it is about Louis,” Dean says, clasping his hands together. “What happened?”

“Nothing.”

“Alexis,” Dean says in a warning tone. I sigh and close my journal, slowly looking up at him.

“Louis and I got into a fight. He broke up with me. That’s it,” I say, closing my eyes as I force myself to push away the memories of that night.

“What was the fight about?”

“He heard us talking on the phone and then he said that maybe we should break up since he doesn’t want me to be stressed.” I chuckle humorlessly. “Then at dinner Zayn took him away to talk to him and the boys forced me to say what happened between Louis and I. I was saying how sometimes I wish I never met him because then he wouldn’t be involved in all this shit. But before I got to finish saying that he heard me and started yelling at me.” I looked down and blinked back a couple tears. Wow, I’m such a cry-baby.

“There’s more, isn’t there?” Dean says. I sigh and run a hand through my hair.

“He called me a b*tch, told me that he hated me, that it’s my fault that Zayn and Liam almost died, and that he wished I was dead.” Actually, he said he wished he could kill you, my subconscious reminded me, but I didn’t say that to Dean. He would get even more pissed than he is now.

Dean clenches his fist tightly, and I can see his knuckles going white. “D*ck.” He stood up and started walking towards the door.

“Where are you going?” I ask.

“To talk to Louis,” Dean says, looking like he was ready to kill.

“Dean stop!” I say, standing up. Dean stops and turns around to face me. “I’m twenty years old now. I can handle this on my own. I’m not a child, and you’re not my father.”

Dean looked a little offended for a moment, but then he sighed. “Alexis, he still shouldn’t treat you like that, no matter what you said.”

“Dean, please…just leave it,” I beg.

Dean sighs again and nods hesitantly. “Fine, but next time I see Louis he and I are gonna have a talk.”

“I doubt you’ll be seeing Louis soon,” I say as I sit back down on the bed.

Dean shrugs and is about to leave when I hear my phone going off. I look down at it and see Louis’ number appear on the screen. I pick up my phone and look up at Dean, whose looking down at me questioningly.
