I feel a hand gently shaking my shoulder, speaking in my ear softly. Groaning, I turn my head away from the noise. But the shaking doesn’t stop. The unknown person’s hand grips my shoulder tighter and shakes a little harder, and I finally give up and force my eyes to open. My vision is blurry at first, but after I blink a few times, it clears up and I am greeted with the sight of Dean leaning towards me with his hand on my shoulder. Once he notices that my eyes are open, his hand removes itself from my shoulder and he straightens his posture.
“What?” I ask.
“I need to talk to you,” Dean says, sitting down in the chair Liam occupied before he left.
“About?”
“You and Louis,” he says. I hear the door open and my eyes drift over to Sam as he shuts the door and makes his way over to Dean, standing next to him. They look at each other for a moment before they look at me again. “We talked to Harry and-”
“If you’re going to say I should go with them on tour, then no. It’s too dangerous,” I cut him off. Louis stirs and we all freeze for a moment, but then Louis falls back asleep and we unfreeze.
“We said the same thing to you when you said that you wanted to date Louis,” Dean says.
“I know,” I sigh, “and I should have listened, but-”
“Don’t give me that crap, we’ve heard it before. We’re tired of you waiting until the last second to make a decision. You are the one that got them involved in all this, and you’re going to be the one to get them out of it. The only way you can do that is to stay with them,” Dean says, giving me a hard stare.
I feel a pang of guilt in my chest, because as much as it hurts to hear that coming from him, he’s right. It is my fault, and it’s my responsibility to get them out of this mess.
“You’re right,” I say quietly, looking down at the bruises on Louis’ face. “I know I screwed up. I was so stupid.”
“Yeah, you were,” Sam says for the first time. “You can’t expect us to sympathize you.”
I scoff and roll my eyes at him. “Really Sam? What about Sarah? Amelia? Jess?” Sam’s face softens slightly. My narrowed eyes shift over to Dean. “And what about Lisa and Ben, huh?” Dean’s face softens as well and I roll my eyes again, glaring at the both of them. “You’ve both made the same mistakes as me. You both thought you could live normal lives! At least I knew that our relationship wouldn’t be normal. I thought I would be prepared to fight of any black-eyed b*tches or anything else if they tried to hurt the boys, but I wasn’t! That’s my other mistake. You two actually thought you could get away from the life for good. Ha! I’m laughing so hard it hurts!” I end my rant in a sarcastic manner. By now, Dean looks angry and Sam looks upset. I look down at Louis and my anger diminishes slightly when I see his peaceful face. “I love him, I really do, but I should have just left him alone.”
“Yeah, well you didn’t. You messed up, we get that. Quit being a whiny b*tch,” Dean growls. My head snaps up towards him and I’m full on glaring at him now.
“Oh, I’m the b*tch?” I hiss. “At least I don’t go sleeping around with every hot guy like you do with girls! At least I’m not a man-whore!”
“Why you little-” Dean says while getting up, raising his hand in the air, when I turn my head away from him, squeezing my eyes shut in preparation for the blow.
“Dean, stop!” Sam exclaims.
Everything is silent for a few seconds before I open my eyes to see Dean staring down at me with wide eyes, probably shocked with himself. I stared at him with a blank expression. I didn’t care if he hit me; we did worse to each other when I was training to be a hunter. The three of use stare at each other silently for a moment before it’s broken by a quiet whine. Immediately looking downwards, I see Louis is already opening his eyes. They blink heavily before they move up to me. A small, half smile tugs at the corners of his lips and I can’t help but mentally coo at how cute he looks once again.
