I was so tired of living in the glade, we all were. Why were we put here anyway? There's so many things I'm missing out on.
Being with my mom, who I can't even remember, having her hands brush through my hair when I'm having a bad day. Having a father who would give me boy advice and remind me of my beauty when I can't see it. Having siblings, that I can joke around with and tease.
Going to school, living in a normal environment with normal teens, who haven't suffered from being isolated for years. What would it be like?
It sure does sound amazing, and I am devastated and angry that we were all pulled away from that. Those sickening creators.
"What are you thinking about love?" Newt's croaky voice asked, as if sleep had been ripped from his entire state. "How life would be outside of the glade." I sighed.
"Bloody amazing, I bet."
"Do you think we'll ever escape?"
"Of course we will darling, and as soon as we do, I'll buy the most expensive ring and ask to marry you."
I smiled, "Quit pulling on my heart strings."
"It's true, there's nobody else for me, I'm meant to be with you."
"And I'm meant to be with you." I smiled, Newts hand reached for mine as I fell into a peaceful sleep.
