How long (Chapter 13)

It's been six years. Matt and I have been together for six years. It's crazy to say and sometimes I don't believe it. It just seems like it hasn't been that long. We've been friends for so long. Things have just been good for us. I feel like we can just be us. That's maybe cause we are us. I don't need a commitment right away. Our relationship is a commitment. A ring won't show much, even though it is nice. 

Everything at work is great. I have it all. It's nice and I love it better than expected. The Emergency Department is a lot more interesting than most think. You see it all and sometimes your just not as surprised as people expect. I was sitting as Natalie sat next to me. She smiled " hey.." I smiled " hi!" She looked at me " so, hey... how long have you and Matt been together..." I laughed " six years... we've been friends for longer though.. after working with each other for so long..." She smiled " yeah.. I remember that." I looked at her " how did you and Jeff meet..?" She smiled " He was visiting Seattle... and he was lost... didn't want to admit it... and I showed him around... we hit it off a little and I ended up here." I nodded " I'm sure that's hard with Owen..." She smiled " no actually... I see him in Owen. It's nice that a part of him is here.." Maggie came in and yelled " multiple car accident... 3 minutes out.. come on let's go!" 

That's another day in the E.D!
