Hermann's POV
It's been a few days since Gabby and Matt had a baby. I've been excited for them. I know how exciting it is. It's also nerve-racking. You just want everything to go right as planned. That doesn't always happen. They had a little boy named Caden, but they lost their other little angel boy that they named Oliver. They were calling him little Ollie. He was feisty. I would always hear Gabby Yelling Ollie stop fighting. He was a kicker I guess.
We've been waiting to go see Gabby, Matt, and little Caden for a couple days now. We had to give them their space. Gabby was resting, and recovering from the unexpected C-section. It was a lot for them to take in all at once. It's been a 3 day, and they are finally ready for us. I was the one to get the news, so I was going to have to break it to everyone. We just had 3 hours left on shift. Nobody was doing too much sleeping these past few days. I waited for everyone to be around, and I got to it. I announced " hey guys!" Severide looked at us " what Hermann?" I looked at all their plain looking faces " I got word from Antonio... Casey said that they are ready... we can visit them after shift..." Brett looked at me " how are they..?" I looked at her " Their.. understandably okay... well as good as they are going to be.." Severide added " We'll be there for them... just be there and be supportive." Hermann added " exactly be there... they'll be happy to see us!"
