Caden is a week old. He's doing good. He's healthy and I'm healthy. We had to stay a little longer because of the c-section. It does more on your body and is harder to recover. Matt has been great through all of this. He has stayed with me and has been my rock. Nothing has changed for us. We have another little one, but we are still us. Our relationship has been the same since we've been together. We've always supported each other from the start. Now we are just stronger than ever. If anything really has changed it's our love and support for each other. it's even stronger than before.
The doctors told us that Caden and I can go home today. I'm just happy to be home and to bring Caden home. This has been what i've been waiting for what seems like weeks and months. I was good to go. I got dressed and we got Caden into his nice warm blue onesie. He was so little. Matt smiled " ready to go..." I smiled " yeah I am!" The nurse wheeled me out to the car. I started to get up " ok baby..." Matt looked at me worried " careful... easy!" I looked at him " i'm good." We got the car seat strapped in. He was safe. I got into the back seat and sat next to my baby.
15 minutes passed and we were home. I smiled " were home little man..." Matt looked at me " I got him... no heavy lifting your gonna tear your stitches.." I looked at him " ok..ok I'll get the door.." Matt grabbed the carrier and carried Caden inside....
